Hi! It depends a bit on how you like to shoot - personally I only use the mouth mount from GoPro (the original one for surfing). Rarely I use the chest mount, and for the rear view I just sit on the stick between the saddle and me. If you prefer having the camera mounted to let’s say your handlebars, I would recommend the new bike bundle as it has a sturdy clamp on mount. Hi! Now I never use mounts, I just stick the selfie stick between my hand and the hoods. I don’t recommend doing so, and if you really just do it only in really safe situations and not downhill, but it works

Hi Peter, in my opinion the best choice is the bike bundle they sell on the site. I have the previous version of that handlebar mount (it was called the moto mount), but it was heavy and bulky. Now they have updated it and it’s smaller and lighter, as well as being really solid. One thing to look into is it might only fit round handlebars and stems. And do you have a recommendation on how to use the cam while on a gravel ride? Sometimes I want to show different perspective than with the mouth mount on a gravel downhill but obviously it's hard to hold the stick. 🤔

Hi! I keep the camera in auto mode with the ev comp set to -0.3 or -0.7 for gravel, I would look at the bike bundle which has an updated clamp on mount that is light but sturdy (like the previous moto mount but lighter). Sometimes I use the chest mount, very handy for pov shots; Sometimes I use the mount mount also for pov shots; Sometimes I just put the stick on the saddle and sit on it, other times I will use a heavy duty Velcro strip to strap it to the saddle in case the downhill is very bumpy; For rear mounting, they also make a dedicated mount which I have used a couple of times and is pretty solid (only works on round saddle poles if I remember correctly. I think it's a really solid buy, also due to the fact if you keep the lens protected, I see this cam being a workhorse for 4+ years (kind of like any GoPro from the 9 onwards, all the major upgrades were present in the 9 and all the models after that were tweaks but not major stuff). I agree, me neither; I usually use one of the small selfie sticks and depending on the moment I will unscrew it from the camera and stash them in my left back pocket, or sometimes I leave them attached and just have the camera in the jersey pocket, and the stick out of the pocket on my back. It’s barely noticeable even if I keep them screwed together. The x4 weighs slightly more than the x3 and is a bit bigger, but in my experience for cycling it doesn’t make a difference (it’s more noticeable with running where every gram counts) I usually have 360 cam in my left jersey pocket, middle pocket is keys and wallet, right pocket phone

Thanks for sharing it, Patrick. I use Strava on my iPhone to track my rides and the GPS data. With X4, is it possible to track the GPS data in the X4 app in the background and run Strava in the foreground when taking the X4 videos?

Honestly I don’t know; what I do is connect the camera to the phone, start recording, and then in the app ask the video to grab stats from the associated gpx file (starting the recording from the app helps ensure the time and place matches). In your case i don’t know specifically sorry, I think it might be possible but not sure

Lately, I've started using Insta360 cameras on my rides around town with my dog.🚴🐕I managed to mount Insta360 Extended edition selfie stick (300 cm) with the Insta360 X4 over the front wheel of the bicycle using the quick release system. So, I can stop riding the bicycle anywhere, put it on the stand, and continue filming my dog without pausing. Also, I placed the second Insta360 Ace Pro camera on the bicycle seat tube to film what is happening behind me. With this, I covered the area that cannot be recorded by the front camera because of me, because I interfere in the shot. In this way, I can cover literally everything that happens around me while riding a bike, and thus watch all the runs of my dog ​​around me, this way I get great shots suitable for slowing down. @flodahm8014 I agree, GoPro is very tricky to use with cycling with the chest mount; either you have too much handlebars and too little of the road/trail, or viceversa.
