Thanks for uploading. Halford sounds great, he's been doing a lot of work over the last 5 years on his health and his voice, and it shows. Thanks to Andy for stepping into some mighty big shoes, much love to Glenn. The fans and Ian are obviously on board, and I am too. Long live Priest, thanks for the fantastic record Firepower, and thanks for a lifetime of SCREAMING HEAVY METAL!

We saw them Live here also...I was amazed by the Sound..Halford's Vocals were truly mid 80's form.. Fourth time I saw Priest.. I want to see them Again.. Hope they Come Back to the East Coast After Europe.. I did miss not seeing the Laser Show..Along with No large Monitors in front of the Drum Kit.. Not sure what happened at the end..The Encore's seemed a little rushed..(Like they wanted to get off stage)..Did you notice this..?? All in All I was Pumped up for the entire show..So Glad Priest came to Pa. to open the tour.. Firepower is going to get the Boys a well deserved Grammy..

No breaking the Law? No Living After Midnight? No Another thing comin? No way that's the setlist
I dont mind not hearing some of those honestly, Id rather hear 2-3 JP songs than living after midnight for 10 minutes. I made a video discussing setlist predictions but forgot to upload it. If that was seriously the list, I would be pretty annoyed.

I know Im going to get shit for this one. New album...awesome. The show and the energy....awesome. KK and Glen....gone. Theres a part of me that thinks they do this tour and then bow out proudly on a high note. Yeah I know, theres an entire new generation of young fans that deserve to experience Priest in the coming years. But....with Downing and Tipton gone...well....thats a HUGE part of what Priest IS absent. Kudos to Fulkners presence and nothing against Sneap. Ian and Scott are impecable as is Rob of course. But its kind of like the Ace and Peter syndrome. Is it still the band we love with two of the key players not in the game? This album I'd say yes because Tipton had a hand in it. But will the next one be closer to being "Halford"? ......Let the stone throwing comence......

@danielpolsinger75656 жыл бұрын
See, that's where you're wrong. I used a standard PC at home. Despite that, owning and using a smartphone doesn't make you a smart phone zombie automatically. It's the unexplainable need to spoil your own live experience during a concert and the one of others by holding your phone up recording shaky videos with bad sound you never ever watch again. What's the point? There are hundreds of pro recordings out there. Just enjoy the show and keep up the horns instead of the fkkn phone. That's not an offence, just the description of a phenomenom that sucks.

I believe that Andy Sneap is not a bad guitarist, but I think he does not have the profile of Judas Priest .... it would be better if the band has chosen someone with more luggage, since it is the pioneers of heavy metal, if could indicate someone the band would indicate Michael Weikath of Helloween or kai Hansen of Gamma - Ray !!!

It most certainly is Judas Priest, especially with Halford fronting the band & still in great voice. Hill's been on bass since 1969 (!) and Travis has manned the drums for 29 years. Enough said. Priest's twin-guitar lineup had been a lot more stable than other bands'. Just look at how many guitars have come and gone in the Stones, Allman Bros., Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash, just to name a few bands. The arrival of Taylor, Trucks, Moore or Weston (respectively) didn't make any of those bands less authentic. In some cases - especially Taylor/Stones - the arrival of a new guitarist ushered in a period of even better live performances and greater creativity in the studio. I think Faulkner has done that with Priest. Richie is at the very core of Priest now, and thank God for that. His talent, drive and positive energy are key to the group's continued success and vitality.
@Crashbanksbuysilver6 жыл бұрын
Yes it is, they had plenty of line up changes in the early days and the new guitar players are excellent. Glen can't play for a good reason so I accept replacement.
@RedAndtheBlackRocker6 жыл бұрын
I appreciate all of your comments, but to me it's a different band. The first time I heard them was late '79 I think, right around "Unleashed in the East." Then I saw them on the "British Steel" tour and a few more after that. At this late point in the game, to plug 2 new guitarists in changes the band entirely. It's like the Dead without Jerry and Bob, or switching out Jimmy Page for a different guitarist in Zeppelin. Come on, I'm sure you're all hardcore and love hearing the new stuff but it's not Glenn and KK. It's not classic Priest. It's a shell of their former selves. Sorry to bust your bubble, but rock on nonetheless.

I totally agree. It's pathetic. I love JP, and Halford's a great singer, but I refuse to pay a lot of $$$ to see Halford crouch down, squint, and read the lyrics. I am going to see Ripper Owens though!

Downing opted to leave in 2011 - and subsequently has chosen to bad-mouth the band on several occasions and whine like a spoiled child when he wasn't asked to fill in for Glenn (whose vastly superior leads were always beyond KK's skillset). I think you're dead wrong about Richie. He's a more interesting & skilled player than KK, with better stage presence and a much healthier vibe. The other band members have spoken at great length about how Faulkner has reinvigorated Priest on many levels, and the triumph of 'Firepower' has a lot to do with what Richie brought to the table. I say good riddance to Downing ... and urge all true Priest fans to forget about the rear-view mirror and focus on the future. I can't wait to see 'em live on Sunday in Wash DC.
@ianforonda25896 жыл бұрын
I understand the sentiment but Richie is definitely not just some KK wannabe. Great guitar player with a very tasteful approach. Great solos on this new album. Really never expected to like any new Priest albums.
@richardw98636 жыл бұрын
YOU ARE NO EXPERT ON JUDAS PRIEST AS KK HAS NEVER BAD MOUTHED ANYBODY IN PRIEST. BECAUSE HE SAID ANDY DID MORE THAN PRODUCE THE ALBUM, DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE SUGGESTED HE PLAYED GLENN'S PARTS. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LISTEN TO AND OR WATCH KK'S THE SINNER AND VICTIM OF CHANGES AMONG OTHER SONGS THAT RICHIE CAN NOT PLAY KK'S LEADS.GLENN AND KK ARE THE GREATEST GUITAR DUO OF ALL TIME.SO GET YOUR INFORMATION STRAIGHT. I KNOW FROM ALL BAND MEMBERS OF M.O.A.M!!!!!!!!! THAT'S MASTERS OF ALL METAL TO YOU. I AM NOT SAYING RICHIE AND ANDY ARE NOT VERY GOOD GUITAR PLAYERS,THEY ARE. JUST NOT GREAT LIKE GLENN AND KK!!!!!!!YOU ARE ANOTHER ONE NOT GIVING KK IS PROPER DUE LISTEN TO STAINED GLASS,UNLEASHED IN THE EAST,SAD WINGS OF DESTINY, SCREAMING FOR VENGANCE.
