Im 54...and I was born, "east of the River"/Wash-DC"....raised on funk, jazz, classical and any and everything, from Stax Records. Like most of us, I was infliuenced by the music my folks listened to and collected (on vinyl, of course). So, fast forward to when I joined the Marine Corps and was stationed on the West Coast for the entirety of my enlistment...suffice it to say, whatever my mates from other parts of the States, listened to, I LISTENED TO..because I was so eager to step outside of my comfort zone, musically. MANY of those cats lived and died, on 'Priest' and Sabbath....and I can remember a bunch of us, going to see them and a number of other 'rock bands', whenever we could. Judas Priest became a favorite of mine, very quickly, after I saw them at the Forum in LA, during their "Fuel For Life" tour. All these decades later, my metal-Mt Rushmore, consists of, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, the original-Megadeth and "Priest'.

I love to see how Rob didn't hit a note one time and then immediately made an adaptation for the next big scream of the song, making sure to ramp into it in a way his voice could manage. Such experience and dedication just makes it possible for him to still perform like this. Phenomenal.

Songs like Guardians/Rising From Ruins, No Surrender, Traitors Gate, Spectre, and Never The Heroes are instant classics and they fit very well with Judas Priest's older classics. Hopefully they can do one more amazing album that is as amazing as Firepower or even better.
