It is sad that we have to literally take an online math class to replace our regular classes because the professors most of us have tend to be bad at explaining things. They know math, but then they teach it to students assuming they already know everything. You, PatrickJMT, along with many others are doing what the professors are supposed to be doing. Thanks for your vids.

TheRoflcopterGod I`m not so sure that this is entirely fair on the Professors. They have many pupils and a limited amount of time. Rarely do they have time to spend going over and over again any one particular concept. Imagine, if you will, that you could view a video such as this in KZbin only once ! Such are the constraints placed upon teachers. If you are of school age right now, then you are very fortunate. When I was at school we had a Maths Textbook and a teacher. Nothing more. I`m pleased that you are taking advantage of the opportunities the Internet offers you, and I wish you well in your intellectual pursuits.

+TheRoflcopterGod if patrik was your professor and your professor made this video then patrik would have been bad. Real problem is when teacher is teaching there is no practical learning as you are just listening no exercise of brain, math takes time and we all learn by going over it again. People who are smart would get it from first time teaching no matter who it is again this applies to good professors.

Honestly. My professor's lessons are so fast and he mumbles throughout all of them. Even when we have questions, no one understands his explanations so we all end up relying on our Peer tutors and KZbin videos.

It is much sadder now than 5 years ago. This is our last resort in order to have class because we can't come to school anymore. Hopefully things get better and we will be able to go back to school and learn formally again :(((

So I've been thinking about my last 4 college math classes. I take online courses when available. All of these classes have ALWAYS linked to examples on Patricks channel, or MathIsPower4U. Why does my college get to keep the entire $600 I paid for the class? Shouldn't a share of the money go to the channels they rely on?
@andrewportukalian29516 жыл бұрын
and yet they're so persistent in insisting we post our own ideas and not someone else's--the hypocrisy. I think the real reason is that they don't want to bother paying someone to actually teach a class online. All the teacher has to do is upload discussion questions and answer questions. Without people like Patrick, there's no way I would be able to pass an online math class.
