Pongo's owner, Roger, can also be seen crossing the road near the beginning. This scene with Georgette and the birds is like a scene in Cinderella, and there's an Aristocats reference in Good Company.

What I love about this scene, is that shes aware she doesn't wake up perfect. It's work to look what is socially accepted as beautiful. I find gorgette pretty without all the work, but she a show dog. I remembered loving this scene as a kid. No idea why. Probably because of how sassy she is and i was having a difficult time accepting myself as a girl. I also didn't like having to put so much work into my appearance just to be labeled beautiful. No judgements on those who like makeup and stuff. The most ill put on me are skin care lotions or what-not. I don't identify as my assigned gender though. I'm a demiboy.

Same here. I absolutely clung to this scene as a kid and I had no clue why, I just put it up to the nice song. That was around the time I started having this idea of ‘what a woman should look like’ and what men want in a woman pushed onto me. Needless to say that isn’t good for a little girl, it really isn’t good for anyone - it messed me up for years and I lost my childhood to trying to conform to something unattainable. This song is still great and I really idolize her. Like you said, the sass. I love it.
