Thanks Patriot crew. It is really great seeing you putting together videos with your family and friends. A lesson for so many of us, to be truthful. In so many of the youtube 4WD channels, we see them pushing themselves very hard to reach a predetermined location, often well into the night. Maybe sometimes it might be good to show that we can pull up early and simply enjoy where we have gotten to, rather than push so hard just to reach a preplanned destination for the night. Thanks for another great video. 5 stars!

Great job on the video folks! Thanks for making it. California's got plenty of shops that could likely drop an electric drivetrain in the '49. Though you could definitely fit a bigger battery pack in the 6x6. Actually... if you took up the entire floor of the 6x6 tray floor, you could likely fit a massive battery pack on that thing. and with the footprint of that truck, you could also fit a ton of solar panels on it...
@jessehill1421 Жыл бұрын
While I have admit I’m keen to see the electric car development, sadly in Australia we don’t have the infer structure to support electric car touring. The engine in the Toyota will most likely be discontinued in the next few year currently over 4 year wait for a new 70 series truck in Australia.

And well another thing is that don't forget this engine was out of an old mine ute that had rolled sat sat on its side for who knows how long and than they pumped 200+ hp that was well probably not the best thing but you will never know till you try I suppose 😂.
@Trenticl Жыл бұрын
I believe the cause of the run away would be that oil blowby coming in through the intake, a diesel engine can essentially run on engine oil, so when that much oil is sucked in through the intake it no longer needs the fuel being injected by the fuel injectors, that's why it will keep running after you cut the ignition (essentially shutting off the main fuel supply).

Pretty devastating im not the biggest fan but its hard to see hard work get blown up. Gotta work with the punches my thoughts are that the car wouldn't have run away if you had the original intake with the egr connected up i know the stock intake is restrictive and has throttle bodys but they run on power so when you would have shut the car off it wouldve closed the throttle bodys and it would ran away but max at idle revs cause the engine still needs air to run starve it of air it will shut off so its all fun looking cool but toyota designs things the way they are for a reason

@@stan_smith395 the 2F is a trust worthy engine as well if you didn't look under the hood to see that its a petrol you could mistake it for a diesel. and even when the VDJ's are working there fuel hungry with current fuel prices if i had a VDJ i would be bankrupt.
