Went there last year with four grand kids in the back of my Troopy with an off road trailer. Took the inside track from the Inskip barge and stayed on the inner tracks for a week camping at a different lake every night, visited the remains of the logging camp and so forth. Passed two other 4x4's in seven days. Perfect holiday with the grand kids, who live in San Diego, California. Bugging me to take them to the top of Cape York next winter, via the Creb track, and the OTT of course.

The ZD overheating is a sign that you need to give it a intake carbon clean, check egr function and turbo boost controller is functioning properly. Upgrade your viscous hub and fan as well. If you’re going to tow with 37” tyres on beach you need to upgrade intercooler and turbo . A remap would help also. They make good power when done correctly!
