Used to have and I did like him but forgot about when the reissues hit. Great review and now I got to hunt down those books.

Good job on recalling the comics storylines - that can be a chore getting out! I had pretender Grimlock from the 'classic' line but wasn't really too keen on the range (though the internal figures were much better than the original pretenders!). Jazz looks ok on second viewing.

I would love to get into toyhax armory, but their so expensive!

Yeah they use to be reasonably priced I would buy from them a few times a year now their new stickers for siege and Earthrise are on average $15 per set too much for me. When you pay anywhere from $22 -$54 per figure I’m not interested in spending an additional $15 to make him look a little better. I liked when the sticker sets were in the price range of $5-$12. $6 for shipping is also way to much as well. That’s why I don’t buy from them that much anymore.

Epic review Patriot Prime!!!!!!!! :D I do NOT mind if Hasbro and Takara Tomy release modern day figures of the Pretenders, not the tiny sized ones we got in the Power of the Primes line, but at least voyager class sized. :D Keep on being amazing, Double Thumbs Up. ;D

I'm sure at some point after the Pretenders they just came out with Bumblebee, Starscream and Jazz in their Robot forms without their Pretender shells. I still have all three of them (in pieces) and I know I never had their shells. It was right before or after or during the Action Masters I think.

Jazz looks like the main figure now, I mean, he is, but now, he looks like he's the main thing, instead of the pretender shell.

I do like the shell. My gripe was always with Jazz. I've commented about that on a previous video.
@CannonFodder934 жыл бұрын
Along with Starscream, Jazz is quite possibly my favorite of the Classic Pretender. The shell looks fantastic and the inner robot, despite the problem with the hood, is cool. And with the Toyhax labels, he looks even better.

Skid marks? I think you remembered my comment on your restoration video.😂 By the way, you can remove the hood chest and fit it on backwards. You can also fit his Actionmaster toy inside the shell. Great review as always.

put clear coat or clear nail polish on the pretender head. I touched the paint on all of mine and then zap. No more paint rubs.

Well, you've done it again, lol... 😅 Yes, another great review of a classic G1 Transformer... THAT I NEVER KNEW I EVEN WANTED... Until your fantastic Flashbax episode, and now full review, of this guy... Thanks, man. (Don't worry, I won't tell my wallet where you live, brother!) 😁😅😅 As you are aware from WAY back, I'm not a big fan of the old Pretenders really... I don't hate them, but I'm just not big on them in general. Like you, I do prefer characters like Skullgrin, Repugnus, and some of those guys, but NOT the generic fatsuit guys. While I do like Jazz as a character, I'm not what you'd call a Jazz completionist or even a huge fan of the character, even though his figures are usually some of the best executed toys in every line... Obviously, there's always the occasional dud figure, and hey, THIS could very well BE that dud figure, BUT dammit man, THIS guy cleans up NICE and is really amped up in both inner figure modes with that Toyhax upgrade set! (So, really, I guess Toyhax bears some of that blame of me wanting this figure now, lol.) I figure this desire to find Pretender Jazz will pass in a few days and my wallet won't scream at me... Hmmmm, probably my wife either, lol😅😅😅 come to think of it... "Got bills to pay, gotta be responsible, and all that stuff, you know...!" 😁 Anyway, not a bad figure for a Pretender overall. Excellent work, brother! HOOO-AH! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
