This guy was released in Japan with a completely new Pretender shell, under the name Black Shadow. He was partners with Blue Bacchus, a retool of G1 Crossblades.

Thunderwing is a badass. Another standout of the Marvel comics. His toy is quite fun and the shell is very evil looking (not as much as Bludgeon, but still evil). And yeah, aside from a brief moment in the Marvel UK comics, his standard robot mode was never shown, so all US readers were left with just the Pretender shell and the combined jet mode.

TR Sky Shadow's jet mode is a dead ringer for Thunderwing. Hasbro needs to do us a solid and do a repaint/retool for us...in the MARVEL fashion opposed to IDW's.

@@PatriotPrimeReviews To be honest I’d legit want to see hasbro take another crack at mega and ultra pretenders. Like for example making a core class robot body that fits in a larger shell with modern articulation. Nothing masterpiece style just something that could be a fun toy.
