I once saw this in a shop without his headmaster and passed him up, but I'm beginning to regret my decision, frankly. I know he's got his quirks, but him and the triple-changers are, in general, an admirable experiment. And over 400? That's amazing! I can see why; you not only show a clear transformation but even some of the character's history. Congratulations!

Another awesome review, my friend! This guy always seemed a little more impressive, being a triple changing, Horrorcon Headmaster, but after watching this review, not as much, lol. I still think he's kinda cool and all, but very glad I've never tried to track him down for my collection. I wish Hasbro would have given us a more solidly done version of this guy in the TR line, since they were insistent on triple changing almost every freaking thing that came out...could have made for a decent Optimal Optimus on the repaint side, or something to that effect, instead of the Craptimal Craptimus coming from PotP wave 3...(which I haven't even SEEN a wave 2 Voyager, Deluxe, OR Primemaster in stores yet...and it's freaking JUNE, Hasblo!! Get it together fools!!). Sorry for the rant, but I know you get it... On another note, Congrats on 400!! (And happy early FATHER'S DAY!) Anyway, as always, loved the review and looking forward to lots more awesomeness!

He is one of my favorite Headmasters since he rings a lot of the nostalgia bells. Loved him as a kid and he was one of the last Transformers I played with. Didn't know about the fix. Great and thanks. And of course Congrats on the 400 plus subs buddy. You earned them and to be honest a lot more. Take care. Roy

Thank you so much. The fix is so easy too, the one I reviewed was a floppy mess when I got him (that's why I got him cheap), a quick Google search, 5 minutes on my Repair Table, and he was as good as new.

Apeface has a special place in my heart, for a few reasons. He was my first Headmaster, thought it was cool that he was a Triple Changer, and it was one of the very few gifts my Dad ever gave me. As always a very awesome review and congrats. Oh and my has a very floppy backpack, thanks for the tips on how to fix it, I need to try it out.

I do like the jet mode on both these guys. The headmaster mixed with the triple changer gimmick is cool, since I've always loved the triple changers.

I wasn't a fan of ether Horrorcon. Both figures look like crap there only redeeming quality is that there vehicle forms look somewhat nice.
