Totally agreed. I'd love to see more reissues that aren't just rehashes of the same 1984-1986 G1 toys we always get( *especially* later toys like Apeface or Snapdragon). There are some really cool toys in G1 that just never get reissued, and I can't imagine all of them are the result of lost molds like the Dinobots.

I had that one, got it from a little second hand store above a private garage. It was so easy to figure out it's transformation and surprisingly complet. I used a rubber band to hold it together in robot mode. It was maybe a year before the Generation 2 started.

Great Review. The backpack issue is an easy fix, unscrew it, take it off, reposition the inner tab, and reattach.

Always wanted an apeface when I was a kid really the only headmaster I wanted think was mainly because of the jet mode and the ape mode something about a tranforming ape just speaks to me awesome review as always

I still have my original 1987 A.F., two parts (torso and crotch) detached, chewed up nose cone (because I was kinda of dumb at 10) and that's it...I've felt very sad over it for the last say 31ish years but SIEGE Apeface will make me so happy again!!!
