Im glad they did a running change variant in the package refresh to Galvatron to fix those shoulders & remove the scuffing from the Legacy version. Saved me a bunch of work. It's nice to wait without having FOMO.

Great review, I have the figure... thankfully the one I bought had the correct shoulders when I bought it. I did remove the battle damage, though. This is pretty much the Galvatron toy I've wanted since seeing the Movie in theaters way back in the summer of 86.

I have just bought it. And somehow it looks for me better with shoulders low... more anatomicaly correct. when i put them higher it looked like doing shrugs... 😉

This guy's still shelfwarming here surprisingly (at least the Legacy reissue is), not sure if Hasbro overstocked or people just don't want to pay Leader price. Either way, easily the best official Galvatron they've ever done (and a huge step up from my Universe Galvatron lol) I know this is an older review but FYI if you haven't seen it: for cannon mode, there's a tab on each of the detached side pieces right below the black shoulder blocks that plugs into notches on either side of the bottom of the purple chest plate. If you tab those together, it makes the front of the cannon more stable and lets him roll better.

i held off buying a galvatron with a disassembled shoulders. im hoping the fixed one comes out. but im growing tired of waiting. i might have to do the fix. but it doesnt look too bad, just the patience to do it

Fantastic review! Galvatron just beat cyclonus for me for kingdom figure of the year he is just that perfect! Especially when you remove the muck off him and his shoulders are fixed

@@PatriotPrimeReviews Yeah I've been seriously considering taking my finest tipped brush and giving Cyclonus a goatee myself using some Citadel Abaddon base black paint (which is the highest quality cause it generally doesn't chip/wear easy, and is only $5 a pot).

I do hope that with this War For Cybertron triology wrapping up, Hasbro gets over their fixation with 'battle damage' paint apps. That said, Galvatron's isn't as bad as other figures. It's not crapstain colored, for one. The lighter blue-purple shade makes it look more like paint having worn off or been scraped away, and considering where Galvatron comes from in the Netflix series, makes some manner of sense that he'd be worn out looking.
