Ok to answer the " Why is the front tires different from the back and trailer tires?" Is because if they are simulating what the real tractor trailer looks like, the rear tires are probably dual wheels so they would go in as opposed to the front tires being exposed out, if you ever look at school buses for other trucks you'll understand what I mean, it's like that with the other Transformer toys as well. It's cool you got him, NYHunter Impressions got him as well and loves it, I unfortunately decided against it due to the amount that they asked for, what seems to be worth the money from what I'm seeing in your review. Congrats on getting him, you sure that you really like that decision you made.

Absolutely stunning figure! The vehicle mode with the combination of black, gold chrome and red looks incredible. That colour-scheme just really works for this figure! The submarine drone looks really sleek with the blue, black and silver also. The combined mode is just incredible but without the giant purple gun the yellow contrasts too much with the rest of the figure. The drill hand opening up to hold the sword is awesome and those weapons are fantastic.

The colors are based on a Japanese exclusive candy toy model kit from Kabaya that was named “Grand Scourge”. Named such because he’s a Nemesis Prime variant of Grand Convoy (Energon Optimus Prime).

So you live in west va and youve never looked at a cabover's rims before? lol Well, i grew up in indiana and i didnt realize until i climbed up into my grandfathers truck. He drove his own blue cabover that had delta magnus diaclone vibes and the front rims are always different.... Or at least in the 80's they were on cabovers. And thats why alt mode accurate cabover modes will always have rims that are different in front. So now ya know! And happy thanksgiving

After the 2001-ish Robots in Disguise series came out, I got back into collecting TFs pretty heavily and nearly had every figure released in the line, except for about 6 of them, 3 of which I really wanted, but never found... When Armada came out, I was all in again... until they went mini-con and character re-creating crazy, and then I started getting less into it, but still getting a lot... and THEN... Energon. 😒😒😒🙄😮‍💨 Every figure seemed chunky and overly THICK for what it needed to be, but SOME good stuff still worth getting in the line... hated A LOT of the color schemes for the characters, and the cartoon was $#!t from top to bottom... So, unlike RiD, which I really enjoyed overall (except for the stupid characterizations of Sideburn's obsession with a non-sentient red car that bordered on stalking and Towline's annoying pothead surfer dude repetition of "No parking, means no parking, (dude)"), and Armada, where the animation and concept were still good, the excessive stupidity and sheer amount of kids included unnecessarily into the series, was decent... Energon was just terrible and the toys weren't much better, chubby chicken legs Optimus Prime being a *ahem* prime example of the worst concepts for his truck and bot modes, to the point that not even his kind of cool combined mode could make him a worthwhile purchase for me... not many of the Energon figures made it into my collection, and about as many Cybertron figures, as far as that goes, although the Cybertron figure's weren't nearly as stupid chunky as with Energon... I don't know, but Energon was just a weird line for me, and while I still have a few of them in my collection, I've gotten rid of nearly half of those original figures since then, and even now, especially with Legacy, I periodically phase out more Armada, Energon, and Cybertron figures which I've replaced with better(?) modern updates of those characters/figures in my collection... even then, there ARE a few that I have kept in addition to the updated figures, just because they were good figures even then... All that said, THIS is a really good take on the chubby chicken legs Optimus mold, and really makes it worth having even in his basic bot mode, since they designed the option for making him look less chubby chicken legsy 😅, though I still REALLY HATE that trailer (even though the optional base mode is cool, in that old school G-Force/Voltron/Mighty Orbots kind of way) and I'm not a fan of the truck cab design, but that isn't Fans Hobby's fault... (and speaking of the truck mode, the question about the front rims vs. the reaer & trailer rims... I think that goes with more how real world trucks usually look, where they have the more convex style rims on the front, while all other rims are concave style, so that's what I assume is going on there...?) This take on the mold/character is really cool looking, but I 💯% agree that the yellow drone color is well out of place and makes it a little off-putting in combined mode... personally, I think in keeping with the rest of the combined aesthetic, they should have made it solid black with purple striping to contrast with the purple copter drone, similar to how the sub and drill drones were done... I think that would have kept a more cohesive vibe... and IF there's ever a 4th Party KO of this guy somehow, if they don't fix that coloration, then I'll just do it myself 😊... and that "trailer" will be in a permanent version of the base mode.😅 As usual, I really enjoyed the review and it was very thoughtful of your wife to think of you like that... (mine doesn't even get me a card for my birthday anymore which is next Tuesday before Thanksgiving coming up, much less consider such an amount for a gift, Christmas or otherwise...) I appreciate what she did for you, brother, and I know you do too. God bless you both and thanks for what you do.

Energon came out while I was in Iraq, so I didn't see the cartoon and only got a few of the toys. Like you I really didn't like the toys, they were way to chunky and kiddified. Though I did keep the Galvatron repaint of Megatron.
