2:10 There is nothing in her lease that prohibits her from decorating her patio. Lots of residents decorate their balconies. The leasing folks are targeting this lady specifically. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO BEFORE COMMENTING!!

It’s a disgrace that a first generation American Citizen has more Patriotism and excitement about our most important National Holiday. Leave her be. She’s not done any structural damage as far as can be seen. Sometimes rules can be bent a bit. If they can have a Halloween decorating contest why not one flag or bunting for Independence Day? There was a time when all of the neighbors would’ve backed her up and put buntings out also. Where has the sense of National Pride gone?😤😠

1. That's not a flag. That's decorative bunting. 2. There's a difference between an apartment sanctioned event and hanging something OVER a guardrail and a crude sign taped to the window. 3. If she doesnt like the lease agreement, she shouldnt have agreed to them. 4. Your cat has nothing to do with this but glad you found them ❤ 5. THAT'S NOT THE US FLAG!!! The bill of rights does not guarantee you the right to hang bunting! You need to read the Texas RENTER'S Bill of Rights. Totally sifferent document and set of laws.

That beautiful lady needs to keep standing her ground and I pray that God will give her the money for the fines cuz that's absolutely ridiculous. If we allow this to happen they will do it all over. It needs to stop. The flag should always be flown. With respect as she is doing.

Thanks to KPRC for bringing this disgraceful hit against patriotism before the public, especially on this one day of the year when we honor our fore-fathers and celebrate our God-given freedoms. All patriots should rise up and show your support for this young woman’s love of country and bravery against tyranny!

It won’t be long before she’s homeless and searching a new affordable apartment. Don’t get into pointless squabbles with ppl who own the home that you live in. They can get tired of all of the nitpicking complaints against them and calling the news media on them and refuse to renew your lease or find you in legitimately in default on something they would’ve otherwise ignored if the circumstances were different. Texas is different from New York State and California. Property owners have far more latitude

@@jessesrx7 -I didn’t see anything in this “story” that warranted a news crew coming out to hassle the property managers. They’re gonna go silent on her until her lease ends then they’ll throw her out or she’ll leave. Of course, her new prospective landlord will want to find out from the previous landlord/property manager what she was like as a tenant and the new one will get an earful and be thankful that they dodged a bullet with her.

If you allow this flag/decor hanging from the balcony then others will complain about not being able to hang stuff from their balconies as well. It’s not your house, lady.

@@jessesrx7 You don't read leases or lease laws do you? There are only specific things that they can evict you for. The tenant does in fact have most property rights in a lease, that is what they are PAYING FOR.

@@deamontana596 wrong , wrong and wrong . If there’s a rule for no flags or decorations on the outside of the apartment then they can chose to kick you out or not let you renew your lease . When I signed my lease it said no flags of any kind are to be displayed. It’s like that at most apartment complexes …also she will now have a bad mark on her rental history so there’s that too.

@@deamontana596 this is Texas and the courts usually side with the landlord here , a judge will kick you to the curb.
