Actually, that storage space is a compartment. You need to fold the grey panel inside it out to put a floor in there. (Watched a different review earlier. Also, the TFWiki site says that Slitherfang is officially listed as a Quintesson-aligned BattleMaster.)

Awesome review PPR, he truly is a fantasic titan class version of Scorponok. I can't believe how big he looks, especially when compared to the G1 version, which seemed huge to me when I was 11 (all relative I guess). The robot mode looks incredible, I cant wait to see this guy in the upcoming Siege TV series. I'm definitely going to get this guy - man my wallet thought I was going to be slowing down collecting this year. Thanks again, and glad to hear Dylan is A ok and making a speedy recovery.

In the G1 Cartoon none of these city bots used a hand weapon . I really doesn't make sense because Omega has built in weapons, Metroplex, Trypticon, Fort Max , and Scorponok are all armored fortress. I do understand in the Marvel Comics Fort Max and Scorponok are not giant city bots and would make more sense for them in that reality. Good review Jason!! I love this guy as well. I got a second Brunt used parts of him to make the Claws for the repair bay...but I think the Slitherfangs are much better .

l notice something. The Earth Rise Scorponok in Robot Mode looks almost exactly like the Scorponok in the Transformers 3 Part Episode: Rebirth with the exception of the Headmaster partner Zarak can become the head of Scorponok when it's in Scorpion Mode.

Already pre-ordered him and glad I did. I also can't wait to get Fasttrack as he can transform to the spear that Black Zarak wielded. Thanks for the Shockwave comparison, would be cool is Hasbro did a Giant battle master to go with him. As Vel Kinkennon mentioned, just do a orange deco of Shockwave, which is doable since they've already done two color variants of the same mold.

Great review as always. Glad your son is doing ok. You two make a great team. You've sold me on this figure and the Titans Return figure who's colour scheme nicely compliments the Zarak body. My only misgiving with the toy is the lack of hollow compartments to put smaller figures in when in base mode like Trypticon has. Once again, great review and a hearty "Hoo Aah!" from Ireland.

Just picked this up from an independent toy collectors’ store (pricy but no shipping costs - Hasbro only sent them one). Until Fasttrack comes out, I’ve been using Brunt as his left-side tower and Scorponok’s blaster, by attaching the cannon onto the front of the tank and using one of the knee posts to plug in behind the platform or the claw. His right shoulder is a bit looser than his left for me, unfortunately. I am very much looking forward to seeing what Toyhax does with the stickers. (I imagine the three spots on the front of the scorpion head in red as secondary eyes; I’m not sure if actual scorpions have multiple eyes like spiders)

And yes, per my quick research, scorpions do have primary and secondary eyes - the main pair of eyes is on top of the head, and three pairs of secondary eyes are situated where Skorponok’s beast mode eyes are.

That said, I know we're getting Fasttrack to go along with him, and he apparently has a sort of "spear" weapon mode for Scorponok to wield, which is all well and good, BUT IT'S NO RIFLE, HASBASTARDS!! COME ON WITH THIS MESS ALREADY!! I will definitely be looking for 3rd Party upgrade options for this guy! I picked up the large PE Rifle for Fortress Maximus, but STILL looking for his OTHER rifle and the sword, (although the sword isn't a big deal for me really), and I picked up 2 of the same rifles, in red, for my Metroplex, since HASBRO screwed us FOR NOT GETTING AN SDCC EXCLUSIVE METROPLEX, and left ONLY ONE cannon for regular retail... Way to go, @$$holes!
