Mayo knew 5 years ago he wanted to be a NFL Head Coach. He knew 2-3 years ago he was the Patriots Head Coach. During this time he didn't assemble his own possible staff & coaches. He didn't do anything in the last 5 years to prepare for his Head Coaching Career. He has no clue!

I think they fired Belichick too early. They likely thought Belichick would win the most games ever as a Patriot, but when the fans got angry and everyone was saying "Fire Bill," and the record was 4-13, I guess they pushed plans ahead. Hindsight is 20/20, so we can say they were wrong. Also, an assistant cannot interview people. The head coach cannot interview people without letting the other team know they are interviewing them. You could say Mayo could have just talked to people, but they could 100% report Mayo, and the Patriots could have been fined or lost draft picks.

Right from the start Mayo looked like a fake it till you make it. And then he called Kraft thunder 🤦🏻

I recall the offseason program started a week late. How could that happen? You could tell Mayo might not be ready for the job then and there. Too bad. Good guy.

This purgatory has lasted long enough guys.. 4 plus years of BAD football. What is it now, like 26 straight games not scoring 30pts?
@DMKFACTOR22 сағат бұрын
Bro, talk to me when you went through 28 years BEFORE you saw them win their first Super Bowl! Remember the Red Sox went almost a CENTURY, the Celtics went 22 years and then another 16 years between titles! 4 years isn’t bad at all, just relax and enjoy the ride! We got the two starts, and they’re BOTH only 22! This thing is about to turn around, but expecting Super Bowls only, son you’re setting yourself up for a lifetime of disappointments! Winning 6 Super Bowls is more than the rest of the AFC EAST COMBINED!

4 years of bad football? There are teams that have been bad most of 60 years. Pats fans need to check just a little of that privilege just a little!
@scottmccormack37989 сағат бұрын
This isn't a privilege here. I earned this listening on the radio in the 80s and early 90's when no one was. Some of us know what bad football is. I refuse to accept mediocrity and will express that anyway I want.

Because of Wolf’s title I don’t think it would be extremely difficult to bring someone in above him and take the “final say” power away from him and give it to an actual “GM”.

Would just like to say that Giardi has really grown on me this season. Hand up, I was wrong on him I thought he was negative and sour but he's shown some great personality and even better reporting. Hat tip my friend.

@Kinshasa920022 сағат бұрын
The Pats’ dynasty makes you think that’s normal. Most franchise fans would love to have the Ravens’ streak. That’s about as good as you can get.

@@2Phaktz first off, I agree with what you’re saying. I was curious so I looked it up, here are all the teams that won multiple SBs this century. Chiefs, Bucs, steelers, rams, giants, patriots, ravens I’m actually kinda shocked it’s that many to be honest, considering the Patriots were in practically every other SB

I like Vrabel as the next coach. He went to a championship game with Tannehill as a QB. Drake Maye has future star written all over him and Vrabel can restore the franchise I believe.

This is part of the reason I did not want Travis Hunter if Mayo was going to be here. I’m in no way implying Hunter and Baker are similar personalities or talents Hunter is elite and by all accounts a model citizen. My point is I don’t think that coaching staff could handle all the extra baggage that is going to come with Travis. The Dionne stuff , the social media stuff, what position he wants to play. It would have just added to the circus

I'm surprised the Krafts didn't bring in a mentor to help Mayo partway through the season. Maybe a Bruce Arians or a Frank Reich or a Ron Rivera to act as an assistant for Mayo. Not someone to take over but someone to give Mayo a seasoned, non-Belichick perspective. Now they are back at square 1, rolling the dice.
@googlechicken15 сағат бұрын
They never should have given any rookie HC the job period. This team was in disarray and expecting a 1st time Head coach to come in and turn this around. Good on Kraft that the person he blamed for all of this was himself because that is factual

I'm listening to your conversation. I personally think Jerod Mayo wanted to win that game. I don't think he tried one bit to lose that game. I personally think the Bills gave better performance to lose the game than the Patriots. if you noticed Jerod Mayo facial expression after the game was over, he looked like he was glad they won. he had a relief look on his face. Jerod Mayo passed on a golden opportunity. to get a load of future draft picks by keeping the 1st. pick in the NFL draft to help the Patriots rebuild, and he blows it. he even said in one of his live interviews. that he didn't care about the 1st. pick in the draft. and he said, all his years in football, they never played a game to lose for a draft pick. I think he won that game deliberately. because the Patriot players didn't seem like they were playing to lose the game. plus, he probably thought it was going to save his job by winning that last game. or maybe that is what gave Robert Kraft the reason to fire Jerod Mayo because he couldn't even lose the game when he should have.
@googlechicken15 сағат бұрын
No professional coach or player should intentionally try to lose the Bills sat their best players. Then Patriots sat their best players. Why would a guy like Joe Milton intentionally throw a game. Coaches and especially players should not be concerned with draft picks. Their only job is playing to win. If they really wanted to give themselves the best chance to lose they should have started Maye. The numbers suggest he would have committed a crucial turnover. He averages over 1 per game.
