HIGGINGS (Free Agency) + TRAVIS HUNTER (Draft). Please draft Travis if he is there. The front office talked about weaponizing the OFFENSE. This would be it. Then, get the top Left tackle available in free agency. We have the cap space for a Top WR and Top OT in free agency. Then, we can draft another tackle with our second round pick to develop. We have two 3rd round picks... we can draft Edge players for both, or TE, or needed position

I've been saying this for months!!! It's literally a perfect storm brewing. Tee Higgins is a WR1 on most teams. Getting travis hunter would be insane. We would have the deadliest WR duo in the league instantly. They should be able to over pay for a O line player in FA. draft another O line guy in round 2 then a Edge or DT in round 3. Guaranteed playoff contenders

I’ve decided they should draft Travis Hunter and mainly play him at WR with maybe a package or 2 at corner I’m just uncomfortable drafting a tackle who might actually be a guard even if he’s one of the best guards in the league

I know the offense needs a guy like him & you could play him in spots but if you’re drafting him in the top 3 I feel like you need to play him at his best position. If they want a full time WR they should go for Tet.

Travis Hunter is a WR at the NFL level, not a CB. More money, more impact on the game. He’s either gonna break the mold and play 2 ways completely, or he’s gonna be a WR. He’s the most talented guy in the draft regardless of what position he plays.

WR is a more expensive and luxurious position. He can get a 160-190 million dollar contract in the future if he's exceptional. Wrs take less damage as well.

The Pats are bereft of talent. They need game-changing athletes, regardless of position. If Hunter is the most dynamic player available, draft him to get some special athletes in the room. Do NOT draft some average tackle because of need. Special athletes win games and championships and the Pats desperately need those. Take the most special player and figure the rest out in later rounds and free agency/trades.

I'm a believer in "You're only as strong as your weakest link" philosophy (that is, after you have a franchise QB you can build a team around.) That means trading down, gain some more draft picks and GET IT RIGHT with picks addressing obvious weaknesses... When Belichick got it right his teams had very few stars, never mind super stars but what those teams lacked in glamour they made up in heart and competence. They all knew how to "DO THEIR JOBS". Start with a GREAT QB, put a GOOD team around him and everything else will look after itself. That was the "Patriot Way".

Draft him primarily as corner (cheaper), him and Gonzalez can be a dangerous secondary and run some plays with him on offense, he’s durable, he’s played more snaps than anyone in college this draft and no history of injuries. Go and get Tee Higgins to fill in that x position since he’s a FA after this year. Major improvement to offense and defense right there

Travis has the instincts you want on both sides of the ball to be elite at either position he has said he wants to play both sides though. It will be interesting to see how teams view him but I'd be happy with him in new England

If I'm drafting Travis Hunter then I'm playing him exclusively at WR for the first 10-12 weeks of the season so he can learn the entire playbook and continue to work at the nuances of the position. Later in the year I'd start playing him a little more at CB so he gets some experience going into next year where I'd split his role and play him on both sides. On defense he'd play 3rd down, 4th Down, red zone, before the half, etc. Then I'd play him 70% of the snaps on offense, obvious passing situations on either side of the ball, and ideally I'd like to see him play the final two drives of the game. 100% of the snaps on offense and 100% of the snaps on defense in the final 7ish minutes of the game.
