W. Honestly I look at it a bit differently. 17M guaranteed means they can cut him after the 2nd year of the extension and not have any dead cap. He’s set to make 3M this year so it’s kinda more so 20M for 3 years or 6.6M per year and that’s really not that bad.

This could backfire massively,there's a reason why running backs don't get paid unless you're one of the top five elite ones, but I do hope Madre is the exception to the rule.

No one’s complaining, just stating the facts. I like the extension. Unfortunately Mondre isn’t considered a top 10 RB right now. He’s right j outside. I think after this season he’ll be solidified as top 10

@PatsGlobal is he iin the top 16 or bottom 16 of running backs? I'm sure you will agree that he is in the top 16. Now consider he had a defensive coordinator calling his plays and an offense that had no one on it that could start on any other team except for maybe Henry. His production o. One of the worst offenses in history pushes him to that 7 to 12 mark.

If the Oline blocks better he will do much much better. overall the offense will be much better but I see our running game being really good this year. If Bill was here we wouldnt have resigned hardly anyone.

9 million is a good price. JuJu got 11 million to catch 29 passes for 260 yards. I see a bunch of mid receivers get tens of millions and they don’t contribute half as much as Stevenson.

Massive for a running back, especially for what his projected value was. A 4-year contract extension making him the 7th highest paid running back in the league coming off an injury that made him miss almost half the season isn’t a popular move in today’s NFL. Getting paid higher than players like Derrick Henry and Tony Pollard is note worthy

@@PatsGlobal but you Have to understand the way they utlized him, it put too much stress on his joints.And his injury isnot that serious. but they have to get him a power running back ,and pass catching back to compliment him for a one two punch plus with good blocking schemes and RPO play calls. That could make defenses gas out quick and make him a success longterm

Slight overpay but overall good move it gives Maye a solid rb that can run, catch passes and be a good pass blocker for basically his whole rookie deal. -They can cut at least a good portion of his receiving reps now that Gibson is here so he doesn't get exhausted from doing both. I regret not getting a Blount jersey now I can get one of Stevenson hopefully he gets some dominant runs like him and hopefully the oline blocks better for him. Now let's go and give Judon and peppers an extension and we will be set for the most part in terms of contracts
