Sebastian has a lot of traumas. I was mad at him at first then I thought about all the factors that affect him. His actions were wrong but they didn't came out of nowhere, there are a lot of things behind them. He was sold by his parents as a child, abused by his owners, then he became a vampire and had a wish for human blood, when he finally meets someone who loves him back, Cassandra, she dies in front of him and he is not able to stop it. That is the last thing he saw before waking up in XXI century and the first person he saw was Lizzie, a girl who reminds him of Cassandra. With all that baggage, he is not in his right mind and his perception of a romantic relationship hasn't evolved with the times. I'm not saying that he should be forgiven instantly, he has to earn the forgiveness but first he needs to understand what he did wrong. He needs therapy and somebody who can understand his current situation. I say that Hope should call Marcel, he probably would know how to help and teach Sebastian how the modern world works, and we could get back a character of The Originals.

I was mad first too, but your view from like his point makes sense, I mean too lose every one you love (even if there is a timelapse from idk 200 years) it still hurts. I don't know if lizzie forgives him for what he did. Not for calling her Cassandra, but for turning her in to a heretic ( obv he try but failed).

he was just trying to protect her and i know that’s no excuse but i can’t help but feel bad, i always love the characters that had a hard time growing up because they’re always so misunderstood and the character development is amazing 🥺 i just hope they don’t kill off sebastian or leave him in the prison world for good. he’s the best character in legacies except for hope, lizzie & josie, it literally wouldn’t be the same without him now.

I agree for the most part. I'm a little worried about him calling her his ex's name. But at the same time he was in a panic and for him it must feel like she only just died. I definitely still want them together. It also helps that I've wanted Lizzie to be a vampire from day one so I would be super excited if she turned into one in season 2 just like Caroline did. I'm sure they will turn this into relationship drama for a while regardless, but I hope in the end they work it out.

Hmm been seeing a lot of comments saying that Lizzie could be Cassandra’s doppelgänger. Not going to debunk it right now since it could be a storyline that we still have not seen. But I’m just going to remind you guys that doppelgängers are the nature’s way (loophole) to create a mortal version of an immortal that could die in their place. Primary example is Silas and Amara to Stefan and Elena, Katherine, etc. Maybe Cassandra is. Perhaps not. But Sebastian says so himself that she “reminds him of someone” not “looks like someone he knew”.

I am not sure if he is aware yet about the merge, but if he is I can kinda understand why he would force the decision on her in order to spare her having to face what would destroy her very soul. In vampire diaries and even legacies, death can be erased. However, the merge would destroy her soul on top of taking her life - game over. As Damon once said, " if your gonna be bad, do so for a reason, otherwise your not worth forgiving" - I'd say Sebastian has pretty good reason for doing a twisted move.

Seriously and even stated she wants to grow old , have kids and have someone to grow old with . Isn't sure what she truly wants but wants the action and choices . I was like yes girl and then he pulled that and it was like .... Oh my goodness . He took that away from her . I feel like I understand him but that's messed up . He's been locked away , watched the one he loved named Cassandra die which there is a theory of Lizzie actually being Cassandra but was reincarnated or perhaps Lizzie being her doppelganger and he doesn't want to be alone anymore . If you watch Passengers then you'd understand more from his perspective. To live alone , die alone and be lonely is torture . Especially as everyone you know and love die while you live on forever . Most can't even process 1 loved one death so imagine what it must feel like for everyone to die . Also , Not forced but tricked her.
