Why most of them run maxxis trepador ? Mud trepadors or journey claw or journey digger or silverstones are way better for that muddy terrain

Wow, anyone know the details on those super speedy winches? Never seen anything like that in the US.

The two main winches used are a “ red hornet winch “ and a giggle pin winch. Hopefully this helps.

Wouldn’t it be quicker to have one end of the tree protector connected to the hook then the helper could just run around the tree and then connect the loose end.

Not allowed to have it connected while driving but a lot of teams do connect one end as soon as they get out and do exactly what you just said

@@Australian4x4Adventures I thought there must be some rule against it being permanently hooked up because it seems so logical. Thanks for the inside knowledge. It’s interesting that the whole industry is pushing soft shackles and phasing out all metal. Yet you guys with the most powerful winches around are still running metal hooks. I guess there really isn’t that much risk of breaking a tree protector and there being enough elasticity in the rope to bring it back to the driver.
