I got the EC offroad 12.3 for my Y62. Bought the car brand new. Picked it up in October 2023, had the unit fitted 2 days later. Its ok, but not great. Found if i have my polarised sunglasses on, i can't see the screen without turning my head sideways or taking off the glasses. I have the Ti-L model with the screens in the headrest. They work well with it, but not a fan of having the hdmi cable sticking out in the back instead of using the factory connections for the rear screens.

When you guys run the wiring from the front battery to the rear Anderson plugs where about do you run the wiring?

$3500 for shit batteries. I realise the “special” part of these batteries is they are supposed to withstand heat under the bonnet. Which obviously they don’t. So in comparison to a kings battery for $320, they’re a complete waste of money. I’ve been using 3 kings 120ah lithiums in my house for 2 years now. They are 100% trouble free, $1190 delivered to a very remote location.

Maaaaate ! why didn’t you fully terminate the upper bulkheads and run 3/4 inch galvanised wingy dingys instead??? 😱 Just kidding mate top work. It’s looking good Hopefully you’re in by now and living your best life making good use of your shed!…… and can take a joke! 🤔😎

So what you’re saying is, the longer DCS fights to hide a faulty “not for purpose battery”. The more money,,, DCS, is taking, from the Royal Flying Doctors Service? Shame DCS, shame on you! That’s not the Australian Way. Shame! Think about the sick children DCS.

Came across your review as I'm looking at a basic power setup for our rig, only short trip to towns (1.5 day turnaround) so need to keep our stores cold and frozen on the drive and overnight camp home. Was a bit concerned about how to keep it charged as you mentioned no anderson plugs but noticed they are now selling a unit called the Charger1 which connects to your starter battery. Just wondering if you know about it and have had a chance to look into them? Just don't fancy going to the effort of getting a 2nd battery, dcdc and BMS unit installed as we live so remotely and don't have a sparky anywhere near close to us. Any thoughts would be really appreciated! Love your videos and honest reviews. Cheers

Thanks for watching. I haven’t got my hands on of the their new chargers yet but I know some others who have and they seem to say it’s fixed the slow charging issues I mentioned in the video.

Let’s get the word out to quit buying from them and if you have a unit that is still returnable, send it back. Let them know not to screw with us, the folks on KZbin.

Util this started, I had not heard of DCS. I am a full time nomad, and rely on solar all year. After DCS have taken this action, I will never use their product, no matter how good it is.

Was looking at buying some batteries for my offgrid system, decided on DCS batteries and was about to pull the pin on 20k worth of batteries, I literally decided I would wait until the tomorrow to buy then I jump on youtube to do a little more reserved on how people have put these batteries together etc. Then this video comes up, there is no way I'm giving my hard earned to these assholes

My 4 yr old daughter was standing next to me at the top of the stairs, we were preparing to walk down. My 2 yr old niece ran up behind my daughter and pushed her down the stairs. She went down about halfway before I was able to stop her. Thankfully they were carpeted but she suffered a broken wrist. Kids are savages.

They are hiding the fact that the DCS “business” & HQ is located on a huge multi million dollar private estate located just 1km from the auto parts store you & your mates originally parked in front of. This is why Mike from DCS had you drive from Spare Parts Solutions to the Public Car Park that overlooks North Tambourine Park because he didn’t want you to see they have no actual shop like one would think. In fact if I had to guess I’d say they order everything pre-assembled in China & don’t do any warranty or R&D testing of any type themselves. Just a guess! ✌🏽

To be honest it’s been years since I’ve owned a fully solid axal car so I’m not fully on top of what’s the best and not these days. I had run king springs in my 105 series I had years and years ago and they seemed like a good spring back the. So far they seem okay but the true test is time so we will see how they go in the long run. Thanks for subscribing, I hope you like some of the content. There is a “ project car “ playlist if you wanna watch all of the 80 series content so far.
