Any type of movie can get under your skin, even animated ones. Music can definitiv get under your skin. Combine music with heartfelt lyrics, then you have the waterwork started. Be proud of your emotions, and embrace them.

The feeling that overwhelmed you when the community came unexpectedly to help is amazing. For times in which we all feel so lonely, having family or our community to support us would be so welcome.

Generational trauma hits us all in small or large ways. This movie, every time I watch it, the box of tissues is close at hand and I see/learn something new. This song has been so overlooked, thank you for reacting to it.

I honestly think that while it is a "family" movie the themes are far more for the adults.

This movie tugs at all the heart strings. Pressures of not letting people down while being yourself affects everyone. If you don’t get emotional then you need to look deeper into your life

In the Spanish version, they salvaged the doorknob, not made it. I like that better, as it gives the whole thing so much more depth. They all assume it's a "M for Madrigal" knob, and this is what Mirabel's line about seeing herself uses, too (she sees herself when looking at the family). But the old house had no doorknob with an M on it. The front door's knob was of a different design, and no room door had an M...except that one door that went AWOL 10 years prior. This would not only imply that her door didn't vanish into thin air but was hidden away instead, but also that her (non-magical) gift of being able to bring the family back together remained after the candle went out.

Disney did a great job addressing the issue of generational trauma and its effect on the family dynamic. Bravo, Disney

there was a throwback to frozen in Brunos little segment in the beginning of the song. they play a bit of Let It Go as Bruno tells Pepa to let it go.
