Thanks mate! Dimash is the chameleon of music. He makes a song fitting for every occasion and this gut wrenching rendition speaks to the soul reminding us of how short life is and to show the greatest gift of all - love. Dimash understands the creative power of music to transport us to that place of beauty and appreciation of the life we are given. So good!🤗

R.I.P. Kenes Duisekeev. Professor and teacher of composition of Dimash where DIMASH made recently his masters degree. He passed away due to covid19 this summer. This song was written by him many years ago and was sung by a lot of other singers. Dimash sang this song to 70. Anniversary of Kenes on January 2016, nearly 5 years ago. The main message of this song is that life without love is WORTHLESS. But here Dimash sings it in memory of his beloved and respected ones. He expressed his own feelings, that he has lost them. Here is the message of the song is that we are the guests in this life. And our life is really short...you can imagine, how difficult for a young man to realise this reality of our life...

Dimash so young and is already tested in tragedies that overwhelm his sensitive soul. He is undoubtedly a special being and even in the hours of great pain and suffering at the loss of his friends, mentors and teachers he finds serenity to pay tribute to them in honor. We will ever cherish in our lifetime the great efforts you invest in bringing out the best in us. Thank you ... Thank you.... Thank you. Dimash with great emotion sadly expressed himself in this song: Qaraǵym-aı as a tribute to his dear mentor, who contributed greatly on his life as an artist. My deepest grief for the passing away of Mentor and Maestro Kenez Duisikeev may he rest in the peace of the Lord, and my heartfelt condolence too for his grieving family at this time. Thank you. Yes, Wow ! The feelings & emotions that Dimash conveys are overwhelming. Right from his heart and soul. Dimash first performed this song in March 2016. Depending on translation interpretation = “My Darling”. Or. “Apple of My Eye”. Here is link to the 2016 performance, with English lyrics and background story by native Kazakh Dear/ KZbinr; Luena Autumn): kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaWogql8p7l0Z8k. The melody (music) composer, Kenes Duisekeev, a beloved Teacher/Mentor of Dimash, and a very beloved and respected Kazakh citizen. He recently passed away due to the pandemic. It is his picture on the screen behind Dimash. This was very emotional for Dimash, and you feel that with his performance at this 60th Anniversary of the QazaqConcert. The song creation history: Approximately 25 years ago, the Kazakh poet Shomishpay Sariev wrote the lyrics of the song "Karagim-ai". He dedicated the song to his daughter, who was getting married. The father puts his feelings into the text, his worry, how the life of the daughter with her groom will be formed, what awaits her ahead. Shares with daughter about the meaning of life. The poet argues that the most important meaning of life is Love. Life lived without love is empty. The poet asks: "All life lived without love is equivalent to one day lived in love?" It is always sad to leave home and cross the threshold of of someone else’s house. That is why a bit sad moment to a daughter too. After all, the tears of the girl are not from grief, but only regret when parting with the native village, relatives. Poet asked his friend the famous Kazakh composer Kenes Duisekeev to write music. The composer during writing the music to the song, recalls his only sister, who did not have time to get married and died at the age of 19. He dreamed what a father would have felt if she would have married. Therefore, the song turned out not only about the poet’s daughter, who is getting married, but about the composer’s sister, who did not live to see her wedding. Therefore, the song feels sorrow, sadness of failed love. Dimash originally sang "Karagym-ai" at a concert dedicated to the 70th Birthday anniversary of Kenes Duisekeev (Music composer) on 26th March, 2016. The composer really enjoyed the performance of Dimash and applauded with the words "Bravo !!!" [Credit to Luena Autumn (KZbin) Laura R. for the Original 2016 performance, with English lyrics, and the Song History].

I want to explain to you the meaning of the song. First the text: Expensive, Such is beauty What is given in full Man is a guest in this world And came for a short moment. Expensive, Like a scared doe Who will you meet along the way? Why am I so sad? Who is destined for? Expensive, She looked at me longingly, But your eyes are beautiful. Expensive, This is how life goes by In vain if you do not love. All life is equal One day when she loved. The music for the song was written by the Teacher of Dimash, Kenes Duysekeev, dedicating it to his sister, who passed away at the age of 19, and did not manage to get married. The composer imagines how a father would give parting words to his daughter before the wedding. The concert, where Dimash sang it, was dedicated to the memory of the Teacher, who died from a pandemic this summer. It is performed very emotionally, as Dimasho shrillly expressed his pain and sorrow for his dear teacher.

Dimash sings to your heart and soul. It's why language doesn't really matter when listening to him. I have never heard anyone able to so interpret a song so fully and then able to transfer all that emotion directly into your heart, each and every time. And you feel as if he is only talking to you. Just a soul connection between Dimash and you. It's so personal and so intimate. How can you not love him? And he does this regardless of time or space, regardless of nationality or a language or culture. Five years from now, there will be a 33 year old man in Alaska that will hear this song for the first time and will have tears streaming down his face. And, it will be as if Dimash is singing this message to him personally. Because he is. He is singing to all of us personally. ❤️❤️ Thanks so much for the video!

This performance of Dimash and his previous performances of "Karagymai" carry two different messages. If in the song sounded at concerts we heard the father's tender love and anxiety for his daughter, then here we hear incredible pain and bitterness of irreplaceable loss. Here the song sounded like a requiem. It would seem the same song, the same words, but the emotions, the invisible energy of the performance accurately convey the mood of the Artist. And this is the incredible gift of Dimash. Blessed memory Kenes aha.

Not a new song but a new arrangement of Qaragym-ai, (apple of my eye) you need to know the reason why he did this for the 60th Anniversary KazakhConcert. His University teacher (Dimash is still a student) Kenes Duysekeev died from covid-19 in the first wave in Kazakhstan and Dimash was very close to him, very fond of him, so it hit him very hard. He wanted to do this as a tribute to him and to rearrange the song to show the respect Dimash had for this very talented teacher, composer, poet and very nice man. Kenes composed this song 20 years ago about the apple of his eye, his daughter who passed away, and when Dimash first asked if he could perform this song when he was around 18/19 Kenes doubted that at such a young age Dimash would be able to put across the meaning and intense emotions in this song, so he asked Dimash to sing it for him beforehand. When he heard and saw how Dimash could absolutely put across the deep meanings and emotions he was very happy to give him the song to perform. This newly arranged performance is in my opinion a triumph, Dimash's perfect vocals are heartbreakingly beautiful and just having a piano, perfect ❤ Interview with Karagym-Ay song composer, Kenes Duisenkeev In 2016, my 70th anniversary was celebrated right here in Astana. It was decided that it would take place in the concert hall Kazakhstan. Then Dimash Kudaibergen came to me and said, "Kenes aga," how do you look at it when I performe the song Karagym-Ay?! In fact, I already invited another singer to perform this song. But I didn't want to disappoint the boy. I thought he was a talented boy who had just gotten to his feet, so I didn't say no, but said, prepare yourself for the performance. In two days, a rehearsal will take place in the concert hall Kazakhstan, on the day of the concert day, you will come and i will hear your performance. Dimash finished performing, I didn't notice when I got up and called Dimash. Come here dear, come here and I hugged him. I hugged him and said, God gave you not only a voice but also a heart and, most importantly, wisdom. I didn't think a young boy who wasn't even 20 could understand the philosophical depth of this song. In fact, he realized all my thoughts on this song. instagram.com/p/CGiDdnCArPA/?igshid=14s02s38e7t1d

Oh my dear (Qaragym ai) Beauty is like that How generously you are gifted with it. People are guests in this world Life is short - and that is truth Oh, my dear You look at me furtively How beautiful is your angelic gaze. Roe deer move together Who will meet you on the way? Why will you meet on the way? Why am I so sad? Who will this fate bring you to? Life flows and runs - this is the law. Life is meaningless without Love. All Life collected through the pages Would be worth a day in Love.

This performance by Dimash from the concert dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Kazkahstan concert company "Qazaqconcert". Many other Kazkah musicians attended this concert. Dimash has chosen the song by the composer who died in July 2020 from COVID 19 and who was one of his teachers at the music academy. This is also added the sadness to already sad song. Song is in Kazakh. Although, the song about a loving father sending away his beloved daughter into the marriage in the different world, in Dimash interpretation it became the song of loving son giving the way to beloved farther who has departed in another world. One of the lyrics line reads: “we are all only passerby’s or guests in this world” and that applicable to both situations.

Dear Patrol! I immediately remembered your tears when you listened to Dimas' song "MOONLIGHT MOM" last year. There is a very pure and gentle soul in your mighty body. Thanks for the reaction. I briefly wrote down in Russian language what you said after the double audition./// Dear Patrol. For you to understand the story of this song, please read my second comment. If you want to understand the lyrics, then watch the video with English subtitles - Dimash sang this song in 2016, when he was 21 years old. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqaVmGSVhZtjeNU

👍It's great that you have prepared for this song and this performance. I find that then you can absorb and understand the singer's feelings much better. That was a memorial ceremony for the people who died of Covid-19. Dimash sang this song for his professor and mentor, the composer of this melody, who also recently passed away from Covid-19. When Kenes Duisekeev set the words of the Kazakh poet Shomishpay Sariev to music and composed this melody, he remembered his sister who died at the age of 19 before she could get married Sariev wrote this poem for his daughter, who got married and left the house. He wondered what her life would be like and wished her life was full of love. Life is short and without love it would be sad and empty. 👍 Qarağım-ay (Қарағым-ай) /Apple of My Eye/ My Dear My dear You make me realize what beauty is Without dreaming someone (daughter) can have it all People (we are all) just guests in this world (life) It is fact, our lives are indeed too short My dear The deer’s move (graze) like this Who will be there for you along the way? Why does my soul weep? (why my eyes filling with tears?) Who are you destined to be with? My dear You looked (at me) courteously, tender What a beautiful your shining look (eye) My dear As this life passes by Without love, it is all in vain All the pages of one’s life Are worthless compared with one day in love My dear You looked (at me) courteously, tender What a beautiful your shining look (eye) My dear You looked (at me) courteously, tender What a beautiful your shining look (eye) What a beautiful your shining look (eye) Text English translation: DQ&J dmx English translation: from 我的小宝贝,紫怀沙

I can see and feel the tears of the poet through Dimash. Dimash has interpreted this tribute so beautifully and tender.
