I remember seeing this film and many others like it in the Police Academy in 1982. Some of these very same situations I witnessed verbatim while on the job. It was good to see and discuss them prior to being exposed to them.

I too, guessed him right off the bat!! I loved his gravelly voice. I really enjoyed him in Jumping Jacks from 1952, with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.👏👍😃
In 1982, I was 23, an EMT-I and a college study i was hired as an officer, went to the academy 4 hours a night 4 days a week and worked under supervision of several assigned training officers. The crap I saw, was only child's play to the sergeants and the captain. I lasted 11 months working for a corrupt law enforcement agency. During one "I'm going to teach you a valuable lesson" suspension, I found a better job making 2 and a half times as much. Its a small wonder why law enforcement agencies in this country are not to be trusted. One officer I knew, did 10 years for breaking and entering, and another for shaking down motorists for cash.
@archenema67922 жыл бұрын
With all that cursing, in the early 70s, I bet this training film was kept under lock and key. There's no way they wanted the public and little old ladies to get wind of this!!🤣🤣 They wouldn't have even cared about the police brutality, it's only the cursing that would've made them keep it secret.🤣🤣

Personally it really just blows my mind how well a (good) cop can retain a professional mindset on duty. But I also heard that statistically, there’s a higher chance of domestic violence in a police officer’s relationship. Now I’m not saying all cops struggle with that at home, but I understand that the crap our men and women in blue have to deal with must be extremely mind boggling.
