Articuno can also get elemental orbs when leading party and killing with ice moves. You can also get more rainbow quills if you re-battle Ho-oh :)

Got my Zapdos as the very first encounter after my 8th badge while i was walking into the small patch of grass before the rival battle. I really thought it was scripted, and to hear that it could have been a rare as 1/8K is wild.

well since its once a month and there are three, it will probly be a cycle that repeats 4 times a year meaning eventually the forum should probly just state that its zapdos/entei january, april, july, october and so on perpetually every year, assuming the order they spawn in stays the same

I love that we finally get all of the roaming legendaries but it's a shame they become available only right before the elite 4s and need a lot of time investment to get compared to just ignore them for the story.

ALL the Legendary Birds have the "Coalescence" when the lead Pokemon, but Zap does have the AOE move. BUT, from 1 video I've seen *so take it with a grain of salt.* Someone was doing 5x hordes never getting the Orb, then after a few single encounters got an Orb. So it very possibly that it was just Luck/Unlucky 100%. I myself have not tried to farm them, so I'm not 100% sure. Just a warning/heads up is all c:

Articuno and Moltres both have AoE moves in terms of Blizzard and (probably) Heat Wave, it's just that Zapdos is the only one whose AoE move is 100% accurate. And you're correct that the drop rate for Orbs is extremely low, I've been doing most of my EV training with Zapdos and maybe get 1 an hour if I'm lucky

Hey I just caught my first legendary moltres I've been trying to get elemental orbs through using moltres fire moves but I've been doing it on hordes with heat wave is it better to do single encounters? I've not gotten a single elemental orb yet

What about Legendary Pokemon Like Ho-oh, Lugia, Groudon, Kyrogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kuremn, would they be a King of the Hill Legendary? Would Latios and Latias be a roaming Legendary? Plus, when can a player actually obtain a roaming legendary? Is it after beating a region's champion, like a post-game thing, or is it one of those "it can happen at random"

Is there any good method for getting the King of the Hill legendaries in the wild? Obviously if they're owned by someone then they won't show up in the wild. I've heard repel tricking works, they're still just really rare, is that true? Or does a few repels generally work to get them?

Maybe a hot take, but I’d rather see Latios and Latias as Hoenn’s roaming legends like regular, and the Regis as something else. Reasons: 1. The best thing about Regis in old games was the hunt trying to find them, with Relicanth and all that. I’d like to see the devs come up with a creative twist to that. 2. Imagining the slow and fat Regis roaming around Hoenn is too silly to me. 3. Year of the dragon! So let’s add some roaming dragons!! 4. (Personal opinion) The Regis are…kinda just lame in general. The Latios and Latias duo are cooler and could be implemented faster.

surf encounters work for the birds in kanto and for suicune only in johto. entei/raikou can only be done in grass/forest encounters

New player here (2 months or so) I caught a Zapdos, after a few orbs I got it to perfect IVs, linked it in global to flex for the first time ever and got absolutely ROASTED for catching it with my master ball. Any tips on catching legendary pokes?

Timer ball is incredible, never worth to use a master ball on one unfortunately. But even less worth to flame a new player over a simple mistake, sorry that happened dude.

To clarify, You CAN encounter Roaming Legendries via Hordes. For example, if you are using sweet scent and farming, you have the same odds of encountering a Legendary Bird - which will override the Horde battle.

Ay ill double check it, but from my understanding you cannot get a legendary battle via sweet scent hordes. If you have a link to that it would help. Pin of shame is too mean, no worries, respect you being so accepting of a possible mistake. If im wrong im wrong as well. There'd have to be video evidence of someone popping a sweet scent horde and getting a legendary encounter or developer word to prove otherwise is the issue.

You get a roll at the legendary with a dup fight but the legendary encounter will replace the battle as a single battle. Hope tht makes sense!

I start play 20 days ago and i have one shiny magnemite and today i catch articuno, in my first articunos encounter this dirty bird kill itself (finish PP), but after another 3h and 30 min i found it again and i catch this little bastard!!! 😂😂😂
