Can you imagine packing entire home every 2-3 days and relocate to new place. Unpack and build new home. Two days after pack again and move out..
Can you imagine eating raw meat and drink raw blood for lunch?
Can you imagine living without TV internet books?
Nenets people live like their ancestors hundreds years ago.
Because the number of them slowly declining over the years we have a rare and wonderful chance to witness their life now before their will extinct like rare beautiful animals...

Which begs the question, how long is the average life span of these people? And were they impacted by covid. Do they have access to medical facilities? So many of these documentaries don't address these issues.

@@colleenlongardner2692 They live longer than you or any other westerner. Asians in their natural habitat are among the longest living people. Why wood they be impacted by covid? Covid was created by china for whitey, knee gros and other races, not us. They don't need medical facilities because they know how to cure various illnesses with medicine from nature. You too nosy and ask too many questions. You need to learn to stay silent, woman.

@@andrewcheng2852 You might be amazed if you research this. "Humans" knew how to start fires before we evolved into Homo sapiens, but apparently not all of us, as archeological evidence and cultural evidence shows. To this day there are tribes that start all their fires with flint or by rubbing sticks and kindling, and tribes that to this day don't know how to start a fire and only have fire when one starts naturally and they harvest the fire by lighting logs, living in different remote areas of Earth. In one sci fi novel I read, aliens determined whether a species was sentient and they were if they could talk and start a fire. Interestingly, you can see white Americans visiting the most remote tribes in Africa, and when these guys need to smoke a cigarette they stop on the trail, rub some sticks together to start a fire, and light their cigarette.

Nope, Nenets do not live like Sakha, there are some pretty big differences in their cultures, although big similarities also. The clothes aren't the same! For starters, Nenets have Arctic culture, whereas Sakha have Subarctic culture! Nenets are very mobile in their truly nomadic lifestyle, keep only absolutely necessary items, clothes are decorated only to a limited degree (so that wind doesn't blow through sewing holes etc.) etc. Sakha are way less nomadic, they usually are semi-nomadic or sedentary. They can keep and collect more items, because there are more well-built houses to keep them in. Sakha clothing contains some heavy metallic jewellery - totally impractical for truly Arctic nomadic lifestyle! Also faces of Nenets and Yakuts aren't the same! So no, not most similar people. But on other hand, of course, they have some similarities too, like frozen fish on menu etc.

I think that's the problem with today's lifestyles, we're always looking for the next best thing and perhaps that's why I was so intrigued by this... because this is something to vastly different than anything we're familiar with. @Yarp Yarp you play the, "if it weren't for us card". Although there is a minimum merit it doesn't say much because your statement implies we were in the stone age and the great white man invented everything there is. When reality it is all humanity just compounding progress on each other. Europe has only been domoinant for a few centuries, which isn't spectacular on the whole human scale, also abother culture will come along sooner than you think that will make better things than the west, and hopefully they can do it without exploiting and pilliaging like the euros did. Plus our technology isn't really made by european white hands is it? Even the development, isn't made 100% by white heads. You could argue the only real advantage the West has is an arbitrary and manipulated finance system that allow them to monopolize many sectors, but even that is fading aways as the smoke slowly disipates.

It would be interesting to see what other kind of modern conveniences would improve these peoples lives. I would love to go there and bring a modern interpretation of this way of life. I'd be out there watching movies and playing the electric guitar.

People like this is who I think of when people say we were born to live without eating meat. Like how if we have entire civilizations with no vegetation & have survived that way for centuries, are they jus supposed to not exist then? This debunks that theory imo.

Oh hell no, these people get to make so few experiences and will learn almost nothing of the wonders of the world. Only hardship and the same tedious routine every day. Who would want that, except unhappy people who try to escape society ?

@@devanov3103 I feel like its more of an idealistic pursuit. Deep down in our hearts- who wouldn't want to connect with their roots, and live life as nature intended?
@devanov3103
@devanov3103 Жыл бұрын
@@Iuseen Since nature intends for various individuals of every species to suffer horribly, I don't. Modern life is messed up, but before that it was straight hell. Capitalism isn't perfect, but to me it's far superior to everything else. I have genetic back ailments. I take kratom, which doesn't grow in europe. Without opioids, I would logically have to kill myself, because there's simply no joy with the pain. With kratom the pain is so little that I'm enjoying life again, instead of lying on the ground weirdly, trying to avoid putting pressure on the aching spot. And without documentaries and books and stuff I would not know anything about the world except this ice hell. But I agree that it is soothing on the soul in a way, because it takes away the stress of society. But trust me, given the opportunity these natives will adapt parts of modern civilization immediately. They are just like us. People 10.000 years ago were just like us, no difference at all. Take a newborn from that time and raise it in our time and it would naturally grow into it. People like this only lack technology and knowledge. Science defeated the church, people before weren't stupid for believing in god and hell, it was just common knowledge at that time. Most people nowadays won't be able to coherently explain evolultion or our universe either, they merely know by common knowledge that they are public consensus. I bet there's people among these natives who'd love to go skydiving or watch a blockbuster in a cinema and stuff. But they can't, because they lack the technology to take a sufficient amount of work out of their hands to have enough spare time/ money for that.

I'm not a native, but I bake my own bread. I can sell my skill as carpenter to my employer for 16Euros/hour and I can buy wheat flour for 0,5Euro/kilogramm and rye flour for 0,75. I don't have to work a field for grain and grind that down into low-grade flour, instead I buy high-grade flour at very small cost and save that time. I live very cheap that way, I don't have to work all day or 7 days a week. 4 days a week is slowly getting a hold in germany, that's extra nice. Unless you're depressed, you can enjoy life here to quite an extend. There's lots of struggles also, but these problems can be handled / avoided. At the end of the day, even someone w/o a job who only receives social security can have quite a nice life, if he bakes his bread (pizza dough is also possible with the same ingredients) and doesn't do drugs..
