Watching from New Mexico - I love my dry brown warm desert. I wouldn't make it out their. Sending lots of gratitude and prayers.

Good to see the dogs inside staying warm, instead of outside.

It’s actually spiritually like magical but western society suppresses , drug you up and lot of women have problems afterwards, not worth it unless you are in freedom

I must admit, it is truly incredible that globalisation didn’t touch these communities in Russia. Even the soviets couldn’t stop these people from living their lives. I don’t think that in American continent such communities could survive in such way

For those us young and privileged. When she is lighting the fire, and singing what I assume are hymns and reading the Bible. it's just, really surreal to see when you realize that she and her family had to do that in secret,at the threat of death. Because if the communist government found out they could have been killed just for believing in god. Also besides being so amazingly strong of heart and spirit. She is in amazing shape, I would not believe it,her being able to do this. Let alone at 80 years old. She has truly been blessed by God to be so strong.

Can I just say thank you for such an authentic documentary. It is so much better to feel the atmosphere without stupid American/western narrator, but simply hear and see the real people of the Tundra.

@@magorzatazgorzak5005Calm down, try surviving in tundra not in a place when your food comes to you in a nice plastic package. Try wearing clothes that you make , not a factory in Bangladesh. Try drinking water melting in from snow every day not from plastic bottles that take thousands of years to decompose. And then judge.

Zgadzam się całkowicie i nie rozumiem tego przesadzonego zachwytu. Rzucanie kija w stronę psa to nie miłość. Te biedne stworzenia są do granic wykorzystywane i dziwi mnie ta krótkowzroczność ludzi.

You eat animals slaughtered on an intense farm, out of your sight and don’t think twice about it. You wear your synthetic clothes, produced in polluting factories, that kill of fish, and sea life. You eat your biscuits with palm oil that destroyed thousands of miles of animal habitats. Here, people get their take from nature not more than they need for minimum existence , just enough surviving in harshest of the environments. Who treats animals worse you or them?

We need. To preserve our heritage or else the entire western world will look like this village. Women of the old world put todays men and women to shame. Resilience is forgotten in city life.

Imagine being shamed into not crying out when your body is literally being ripped apart. And the whole "unhygienic" part about giving birth. Absolutely disrespectful and a society run by men who have no idea what it's like for women. I don't care about the whole culture thing, this kind of mindset is hurtful and dangerous to women.

I don't know why people think we are "alone",just bc there's no other modern humans around. The animals, the rocks, the trees, the water, and often the Sabe (Sasquatch) keep us company. And it is all the best of company;so much so that we as modern humans are privileged to be in such good company. You don't have to look far off into some foreign forest to find powerful Shamans, but would you recognize one if you saw me in public? I bear no visible signs. Just another 40 something white guy in the grocery store. Can you perceive beyond your own assumptions? "Me" is many when it comes to what one is seeking, but can you see? Blessings.
