When she is lighting the fire, and singing what I assume are hymns and reading the Bible. it's just, really surreal to see when you realize that she and her family had to do that in secret,at the threat of death. Because if the communist government found out they could have been killed just for believing in god. Also besides being so amazingly strong of heart and spirit. She is in amazing shape, I would not believe it,her being able to do this. Let alone at 80 years old. She has truly been blessed by God to be so strong.

Can I just say thank you for such an authentic documentary. It is so much better to feel the atmosphere without stupid American/western narrator, but simply hear and see the real people of the Tundra.

I don't know why people think we are "alone",just bc there's no other modern humans around. The animals,the rocks,the trees,the water,and often the Sabe (Sasquatch) keep us company. And it is all the best of company;so much so that we as modern humans are privileged to be in such good company. You don't have to look far off into some foreign forest to find powerful Shamans,but would you recognize one if you saw me in public? I bear no visible signs.
