She never thought of herself above anyone even though in my opinion she was one of the greatest female singers that ever walked on stage to me she was a country girl and never forgot where she came from and never forgot her roots and one of the best singers I ever ever had the pleasure to listen to so RIp Patsy some times I think thatHensley is a bloodline of singers I married a Hensley and boy can that family sing Brothers sisters their kids aunts uncles cousins mothers fathers grandpa grandmother you have to hear them to understand what I’m talking about can even play all different kind instruments and me a couldn’t play an old wash board but I was proud of my late husband and his family she was From Virginia and we are from West Virginia

I grew up with Patsy's son, we drove up there in January 1979, her mother carried us in the child hood home, just across the street were her mother lived and told us some great stories of talent scouts coming in the house, we had a great time hearing the old stories from her family. The grave at the time when we saw it, 79, and 1994, had a hard time keeping grass growing around it, because so many tourists would walk it down. Her family was very down to earth good people. You didn't take pictures of her mother, she didn't allow it.

My dad loved patsy and a week before he died of stage 4 cancer he called me up to the VA and he wanted to plan his memorial service 💔 one of the songs he wanted played was patsy cline sweet dreams. Also leeann rimes on the side of angels and Anne Murray you needed me which was my mom and dad's song. And to start everything willy Nelson on the road again, lol that was special because every time mom and dad and I moved or went on vacation he would sing it to us. Lol bless his heart he couldn't sing at all but I miss hearing the of key singing Godbless and thank you for this and all the blogs stay safe and have a very blessed day 💖my folks were married for 48 years and were never apart always together and now they are together forever 💖

I recently purchased both the Patsy Cline and Tammy Wynette boxed sets,...and listened to both to form an opinion on which artist I preferred.I have to admit I favored the Tammy boxed set more. To be fair she had a much longer career,...and a larger body of work,...whereas Patsy Cline's career was much shorter so her music is almost only from that unique period..She was never able to stretch her style. Just my personal opinion.

Jordan, darn I wish I knew you were here! I grew up in Winchester and still live here. I dated Patsy's niece (her sister's daughter) for several years and met Patsy's mother Virginia on several occasions. She was a wonderful woman and so very proud of her family's legacy. Virginia lived most of her adult life in a house diagonally across the street at the corner of Kent and Monmouth Streets, almost right behind where you stood when you first show the museum house. It was kind of a duplex; Virginia living in the right side of the house, and her granddaughter (Patsy's niece) living in the left side. By the way, The Triangle Diner is kind of an old joke here; it's been closed for decades, but someone bought it several years ago and had started renovating it, but never opened it. I don't know who told you about it, but they were playing a bit of a joke on you. On April Fool's day, someone put up a sign in front of it that said, "Opening Soon"! Glad you made it here, but wish I could've met you!

I grew up to Patsy Cline on albums, played by my mother. She loved her. When my mother passed, I found a track tape on my mother's desk. It said, "Patsy Cline, my favorite singer." My exbrother-in-law was aghast that I wanted to play this tape at her funeral. To say the least, I didn't care what he thought. The people and friends said it was the best funeral, they had ever attended. After this, my ex brother-in-law (Mark Stout; residing in Sarasota, Florida now) stole my mother's inheritance to me and my sister. This is why he is an ex! But, your vlog on Patsy, brought back so many great memories. Thank you 😊

True once she song a song, it was hers, nobody could do it better. Pity the house was not open. We all wonder if she had chose to ride back rather than fly. She would been around longer. I'm Greatful for the Songs she left for us to enjoy. Afa, love, respect, and positivity Always. Vee James.

Hiya Jordan, hi Gang- I have to say that Patsy was most probably the greatest female singer of the 20th Century. All of what she did was unedited, Auto Tune wasn't even a glimmer in anyone's eye at the time... I used to live in Nashville and had the pleasure of knowing many of the older Country and Western performers... Sadly, many have gone from us here within the last four or five years... But by all accounts that I ever heard, Miss Patsy was one of the most down to earth people they ever knew. Mr. Charlie Dick would sometimes attend my band's performances on Lower Broadway... And I can tell you that he was a great character, too. Hey! By the way, if you're still gonna be in Winchester for a while, make sure to swing through Old Downtown and visit Snow White Grill... I'm pretty sure that that's where Patsy worked as a Teenager... And the Hamburgs are KILLER! Cheers!
