Working nuclear refuel outages my normal shift 6:00pm - 6:30am, 6 - 7 days a week. There's always a bar open at 7am for the workers. That's night shift. LOL

A lot of the lads who used to save up all year for a two weeker have now stopped coming since the flight prices went up and the cost of living crisis back home has kicked in. Gone are the days of the £400 flight, they were the ones who use those great values rooms and kept Pattaya ticking. Hopefully things will pick up.

24 hour drinking. In London, early 90s before pubs were open 24/7, we started at 7am Spitalfields meat market pub, Full English and a pint of Guinness. 16 of us met up, all set for it, only 2 of us made it back the following day 7am, same pub, Guinness and a full English. Took me a few days to get over it I can tell you. The night time economy is now alive and well.

Why not! While in the RCN, I worked shifts for most of my career. In my younger days while stationed in Inuvik, NWT (Canada), it was pretty standard to go have a beer (or two) off mids (at 08:00) and go to bed around 12:00 (noon) or so, especially coming off the last midnight shift (00:00~08:00), steak and eggs washed down with a few beers at the Zoo (the only hotel that served beer and booze at 08:00).

Those were some great times watching the sun come up and joking around.

Hey. I have stayed in that guesthouse last songkran. I wanted something central and cheap the first legg off my trip. You get lot for the amont you pay to gary. The bed are really big and soft. And ac brand new. You have a really big smart tv. Gary is always helping. And the guesthouse has a perfekt location. The rooms are good sound isoleted. The only negativ is the stairs, but i saw it as good training. The jacuzzi in the room is good to cool you down. It didnt impressed the girls, none off them wanted to try it😅🤣😂

To be honest the guest house prices are sooo high for pattaya 1350 for the large room is ott. It will be very noisy at night bars competing souund systems .I have stayed in hotels for 900bht with a pool. Good luck to the guy but not for me.

Well inflation is on the rise and i am sure its not as cheap as it was 10-20 years ago: also it varies with hi-mid-lo seasons. I remember 300-600baht for bungalow like rooms end of walking street. No doubt the building has been knocked down by now and replaced with a 1500-2000baht hotel! But i am sure you can still find 750-1000baht you look and are not too fussy.

Talking about effective ad slogans, mate, the bloke who came up with 'Guinness is Good For You' made a fortune out of it. I think he made a million. The company doesn't seem to use that one anymore.
