I stayed in the big purple Sawadee Siam hotel right next to tree town back in September 2018 and even back then it was pretty quiet with many of the bars in that area empty or only a couple of people in so I'm not surprised that everything is closed. But it's good that the tree town area is probably more busy now than back then.

Ahhhhh.....in RETOX you share the screen with the 1967 GLASGOW CELTIC FC EUROPEAN CUP WINNING TEAM behind you, some people will be unhappy with that...some will be very happy.....Glasgow divided city, due to football, or as you yanks say...soccer ! Great to travel half the world though and find things relevant to your own life also relevant in someone else's. I've watched a few games of football...sorry soccer, in RETOX and found it a great place to catch up on football...soccer, back home. Also I-ROVERS hits the spot with breakfast and sport as you well know ! Thailand won't be opening up anytime soon to the UK so best hope Pattaya survives the famine and we're all good to go for 2021, though I do have my reservations about that date too. Thanks for making the video and giving us another slice of your life.

My issue with Sio Buakhao is that it is more dangerous place to actually walk (normally) than walking street in that there is literally no room to walk. Traffic can fly by at a rate where it is easy for one to get hit.

Lucas, I can fully understand why the restaurants are empty for breakfast at 6 or 7 in the morning in Pattaya, everyone is still in bed relaxing. I bet that's where Vee would rather be also at that ungodly hour in the land of smiles. Great accommodations at the hotel. Pattaya is unrecognizable. Lol, I could never imagine it being virtually closed. Curious, do they still have the kick boxing place / bar there ? Used to be interesting to watch, and naturally some hard charging dummy would be lured into the ring one way or another... just to find out that the Thai's in the ring really could fight... used to be a round outdoor bar right in the middle of one square which was a hub of entertainment, several go go bar, that were well known for many things lol, surrounded it plus it seems a large hotel right there as well. P72 and the White Rose are two places that were very nice, then, to stay at. Anyway another good show, well done. Enough to show what is going on and the area as to the situation. But didn't become a whole party show, appreciate that. Sawaadiikhrap... Ah, yes, totally agree with you about breakfast.

14:53 6:00 am for breakfast in Patts? Most of the Patts mongers aren't even in bed for the night until the wee hours of the morning, and they're sure as hell not waking for breakfast very early. I get what you're saying as I am an early riser and like an early breakfast as well. Some marginal earlier breakfast buffets on second road, but you'll get what you pay for. Hard to screw up scrambled eggs, Khao Pad and toast and coffee though. Great vid bro. Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious IF in all your travels in SE Asia you actually met anyone who either had a case of CV-19 or knew someone who had it. If so did that person infected have any symptoms, die, or recover? I ask because in my job I was exposed to many tourists from Asia every week. I never had a sniffle. Nothing. None of my coworkers ever caught it. And I was exposed at the height of the supposed "exposure window" from Dec 2019 thru the shutdown mid March. Thx and love the videos. I've been to Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Bangkok. But these travelogues outside of normal tourist areas are as welcome as the regular Pattaya vids....

It's good that you are so generous with telling people the prices of so many things. But it's a bit unnerving actually to realize how important the price is to many people. A glimpse into the world.
@rtpHarry4 жыл бұрын
For me, when I'm in thailand / Asia, I mostly am interested in price because for a bigger price you don't always get bigger value. It could just be the same food, cooked the same way, but one street closer to the tourist spot. For long term travel it makes sense to optimise and keep a track on those things.
