Hi Daz, great video, just wanted to make one comment. My friend runs a few bars in Pattaya, and a part of the reason for increase BF is to stop girls from BF THEMSELVES and taking days off. This is actually a big problem, and shows that the girls are doing financially very well now.

I've decided to skip Pattaya entirely because I got badly scammed on Soi Cowboy in Bangkok. It was the first time I went to a go go bar in Thailand, and the girls lured me inside. I figured I would drink a beer and get out but of course that's not what happened. There were 2 girls with me telling me they would get a soda each. Quickly they ordered unidentified alcoholic beverages instead and I thought to myself "well that's to be expected, that's how they get their money anyway". So we had a bit of fun in the bar (no sex or anything like that, just tabletop dances) for about 30 mn, during which they ordered another couple drinks, after which I decided to leave. During the whole time I had kept track of all the beverages and I counted about 6 drinks. When I saw the bill, the owner had written 18 drinks totalling over 4800 baht ! I detailed the drinks and said they had ordered only 6 drinks, totalling just over 1800 baht, which was the true number and put down two 1000 baht bills and decided to leave. The old fat mackerel got angry and started yelling at me in Thai and a security guard barred me from going out. Unlike her, he was polite, but did his job. I kept my cool all that time but stayed firm. We discussed quite a bit (via electronic translator), I explained him the number of drinks was cheated but to no avail, she kept yelling whatever lies and insults in Thai and soon enough another guard and policeman arrived. After perhaps another 30 mn of discussions I finally got away paying 4000 baht instead of the 1800 baht I should have paid. After a mere 2 nights spent in Bangkok, I've found out it's a city of scammers and liars (I had been lured into a tourist trap once before, and another 2 guys tried to scam me but failed in 3 days: yesterday one pretended that the Wat Pho temple wasn't open until 2pm and that I could do a costly boat tour in the meantime, and another dude literally pretended to be a policeman and showed me a fake police card !), and I've decided to leave for Chiang Mai instead. I understand that there are tourist traps everywhere, but I don't think I've interacted with so many scammers in ANY other city in the world and I've been to many places, including China and Mexico. It might be different in Pattaya, but right now I really don't want to know.

I have been going to Pattaya for over 10 years now. The best advice I’ve received is; 1) watch your bill for padding; 2) Don’t pull a girl from a bar then go back the next day and pull a different girl from the same venue (saving face); avoid girls from the “ Coconut Bar ( Beach Road freelancers). As to Gents Clubs; I’ve been, but prefer the freedom of open air bars. To each his own, right?

G’day, Hello Daz, At the moment walking street is an absolute mess, but thinking of all the problems over the last couple of years COVID, the closures, the fires but I still think here is hope, i am some what disappointed with the state of things with all that great painting on the walk way being wreaked by vehicles, but it is a work in progress, I understand with all the construction and vehicles but I do frown on using it for day to day traffic as it is being used. Give it some time, maybe another 12 months I think thing will look a whole lot better. I use to love going to have a drink and eat in the bars, restaurants on the water and I will do again, it is interesting you bring up about people being scared of gentleman's clubs, I whole heartedly agree, my first time by myself I was the same way going into a bar or club with closed doors or curtains it can scary into the unknown. I remember a funny time, back in about early 2000’s out with a group of mates, one club in soi crocodile on Bangla road patong, a sprooker out the front of the club selling her wares, we were ushered in through heavy dark curtains into a very dimly lit small room with a brightly lit circular stage in the centre, naked and scantly dressed ladies dancing to heavy music, being shown to a table, a waiter asked what we would like to drink before ordering I asked the price of singha beer and was told 900 Baht, I looked up in surprise, and was told but the floor show is free, we quickly got up and left, I think that one was a one off as I have been into many since, in soi Diamond and others, Ha, Ha, I almost considered buying a club in Soi 6 beach road end, i hesitated to my regret or perhaps luck an American chap had bought it, a few months later on my next trip I found the club doors chained up and the bar closed, that was back in late 2016, funny how thing turn out. Got to go lunch has arrived. Cheers, Michael

Daz, can you make a video for the younger guys? Something like advice for younger guys in Pattaya? Most of your first timer advice is aimed at older fellas. Although I've been to Thailand 3 times, I found a lot of the normal first timer advice kind of impractical and not really representative of the issues I run into. For example, I'm finding that gogos and soapies are REALLY not good venues for younger dudes; the girls that prefer older and more 'gentle' (only going to do aerobics once in a night) are much more likely to work there. The girls in clubs seem much friendlier to younger guys, but it's hard for me to differentiate between which ones are alcoholics/druggies/gamblers and which ones are "normal" professionals. Appreciated, loving the videos. I'm coming for about a month in January. If I run into you I'll say hi.
@Sunburst752 жыл бұрын
Where did you find the alcoholics and junkies lol. I’ve never came across any, you must be shopping in the wrong places😆.
@VastChoirs2 жыл бұрын
@@Sunburst75 Yeah, that's why I want an experienced fella to give us some advice. But I remember running into one very beautiful large chested girl in I-bar who turned out to be an online gambling addict who would lose 100,000 baht in a few days. Had another skinny one around my age who invited me to partake in some really shady stimulant I'm not sure what it was and told me she sometimes secretly films herself with customers. Had several who were just generic alcoholics. Where do I find the "normal" professionals who got to bed before midnight and don't have a litany of vices or neurotic traits and just save up money to provide for their kids or whatever?!
@VastChoirs2 жыл бұрын
@@Sunburst75 I've also never run into any sponsorship or fake gf traps. They know us young guys typically have sub six figure net worths so they don't even try. That seems to be the move they pull on the older dudes who actually have money.
@Sunburst752 жыл бұрын
@@VastChoirs Hi, are you talking about finding a girl to stay with for a night or weeks? If it’s the latter I think the answer is don’t hook up with the first 2 or 3 you meet, spend some time in different places and get to know them at least a bit, then you can at least get a clue whether they’re likely to meet your needs, ie not alcoholics or crackpots! Some bar girls drink too much due to obviously being in a bar all the time. I often found nice girls on Beach Road, no bar fines or lady drinks. No problems with any of them, but like everywhere else you need to use common sense. If you have doubts, just find another one you feel comfortable with.
