Heat trauma is real! I’m just starting to experiment again after about 10 years. I love my Dyson, but I definitely want to get this! I had a rather meh relationship with Pattern products, until this past October. I finally saw a professional and got rid of so much dead hair. Now?!! I love Pattern products! I only need the leave in and mousse and I’m moisturized for days. Using only two products to style makes my life so much easier!! I’m glad I gave Pattern another chance after my cut. Great video!

Great review. I have fallen in love with the Pattern brand. The way Tracee Ellis Ross has put together this brand is impressive. I have never used heat because my hair gets frizzy with it, but I have been feeling very "undone/unstyled" for years, and I have just been looking for something to step up my hair game. Giiiirl don’t even get me started on heat trauma. It’s happened to me TWICE. Both times were at salons by professionals. 😒 And now that I color my hair I’m extra nervous about it. But I’m LOVING the color of the hair dryer and attachments. It’d be awesome if they came out with more color ways. A matte sage green? 👌🏾

I definitely had heat trauma. When I had twists I used to add flexi rods to manipulate my curls. Then I beat cancer. After my hair came back in I haven’t put any heat on my hair in over 6 years. May be willing to try again.

The esthetic of this is gorgeous! Having a wide tooth comb and brush option is interesting, and I love that the teeth are smooth and rounded to minimize snagging. I know blow dry brushes have been around forever, but I've never gotten into them because they tangled in my hair. I wonder if this brush attachment is similar to other blow dryer's comb attachments, which are usually finer toothed for smoothing. Thanks for this review and congratulations on this partnership! You've done a wonderful job. As always. I will look into this dryer.

This one might be a little larger, as it’s designed after their shower brush. The prongs are flexible with good feedback, and the tips smooth. Especially after I use after the wide tooth comb attachment, the brush slides through easier.

Appreciate the demo. I have cut back on heat for many years. I just started using heat again over the last year. I use the shampoo, conditioner and the leave in conditioner and like the product. I’m going to have to look into this blow dryer. I bought the shark ( similar to the dyson) which I enjoy but will look at this. Thank you

OK Alicia here me out. I do twists on wet hair and don't do flat twists but instead a bunch of twists in part because I leave my twists in for a few days before releasing them. The movement comes from the diffuser drying. Like when moving the head forward, side to side and backward. I use a puff cuff to hold my hair back or just a head band to keep it out of my face. Then when the twists are released I've a ton of movement. My hairs longer than yours and I've coarse 3A in the front and 3B for the rest but it's taken me more than a decade to find out that the drying method keeps my hair from drying in one position thanks to a new stylist. Plus I only dry 80%.

Hey hey! Thank you so much for watching! Yes, heat damage is a real thing and I discovered especially with this type of style that high heat isn’t necessary. My hair dried quickly on the first setting, and using a microfiber towel before hand helps!

Sitting here with a waist-length 3B-3C wet mop, LOL. How dare you call me out?! I love this! I do curl (1-1/4" barrel) and flat iron my hair. My curls do come back. That said, I have NEVER had a blow dryer, or the attachments, do anything good for my hair. I have a bonnet style that I like for my lazy girl approach to setting my natural curl texture in the winter. Handheld dryers that never worked for me AT ALL. I spent so much money on "the best ones." I guess it never occurred to me that they were not designed for my hair type. I thought if it is "the best" it should work for me. I am so intrigued! I also love the color, hahaha.

Big fan of the results with this hair style! Sure you already know this, but try one of these combos with Pattern products, 1) curl gel (medium hold) & styling cream or 2) strong hold gel & styling custard. If needed, switch the styling cream/custard for a different outcome. I found when combining a strong hold gel (not cream) with a cream product for twist outs gives me more curl definition with way less frizz. Air dry or blow dry then undo twist and fluff for more volume.

@@maddy3562 yes! The brand kept that in mind, as the Dyson is a first choice for many. I have the Dyson, and appreciate it for it fast drying. But not everyone can afford that, nor is it necessary for us to drop that amount if we’re not going to use it a ton. AND, the attachments on the Dyson are magnetized. Definitely not enough for when I need to do a blow out 😅

Hey Ariel. I’ve tried almost all of Pattern Beauty’s hair products and I can tell you that they’re great. They have a light floral scent, not overwhelming. The mousse has the lightest/mildest scent of all Tracee’s products. It smells like cucumbers and has crazy slip. I LOVE the fact that all of her products work well with each other. No flakes. Btw, we’re both subscribed to MJ’s YT channel. I see you in the comments all the time. Let me know if you have any questions😊.

@@arielts06 Hey Ariel. I highly recommend Nature’s Little Secret, Bask & Bloom and Mielle. You could never go wrong with Nature’s Little Secret, though. My oldest son loves the Rosemary Mint line from Mielle. All three companies are wonderful😊. Edit: Ecoslay’s Banana Cream deep conditioner is SOOOO AMAZING. The slip is crazy and it honestly smells unscented. That product would be great for you and your son. It has to be kept in the fridge, though. That has never been a dealbreaker for me.

Girl, i love your curls. I had curls up until about two months ago for over a year and i just got to the point where I could not.
