Hi Mandy, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! To do it on Text is the same as doing it on images. Type out your text and choose the font, then change it to a "Print then Cut" in the Operations dropdown, then in the colour box change it to "Pattern" :)

I'm having a problem trying to upload a pattern as a fill. It is an svg distressed pattern that I wanted to add to some letters. I changed the letters to print then cut and uploaded the pattern but while doing that I don't see the option to upload as a fill. It just loads as an image. I have the latest version of DS on my laptop. Can you point me to what I'm missing? I have always done this by slicing but the fill method would be so much easier. Thanks for the great video.

How did you upload the SVG? For it to show in the pattern fill selection, you need to upload it as a pattern, not using the normal upload method. You can only use JPG, GIF, PNG or BMP files as patterns, not SVGs, so that could be why?

I have had the problem of my background or pattern does “NOT CHANGE” after moving the slider. I have talked to Cricut 4 times to no answer. Do you have any suggestions?

I had that problem a couple of times when I was trying to zoom out quite a long way to make the pattern really small. It looked small on the popup window preview, but when I closed out of it, it didn't remember the size. It got a little smaller, but not as small as I wanted. Closing Design Space and opening it again helped sometimes.
