Thanks Ricky, good tips. I've also started experiment with rotating the drum with different notes at the bottom to change the feel of my playing. For many of the positions on my D Celtic minor tuning you need to use patterns that are a little different, but is a great way to complete change your sound and even give it more of a "major key" sound.
