Thank you so much for this tutorial Diane! I've made many pieces using your tutorials. I want to attempt to make a jacket but couldn't find a good drafting tutorial online. I know you already have tutorials on tailors sleeve, tutorials on the pockets, collars, vents and etc. If you could, I'd love to see a tutorial on a jacket. Your patterns are always accurate and well marked and since a jacket is a more difficult piece, a tutorial would help me a lot. Thank you!

Hi Diane, if I wanted to make this dolman sleeve into a cocoon shape, would I just curve the sleeve lines?
@elisadiana57164 жыл бұрын
Hello Diane, Thank you for sharing this video, your teaching of pattern development is always great. Is it the same of dolman sleeve and kimono sleeve? Could you show me how to draft kimono sleeve with gusset for fitted bodice? Thank you in advance. Kind regards, Diana.

Hi Diane. Loved the video. I have a question. I want a dolman sleeve but I still want the bodice to retain the fitted bodice. Why do you enlarge the side seam. Is it possible to do the dolman without enlarging the side seam so it connects to the front and back blocks? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! :)

So is the width of the sleeve the only thing that changes when you vary the sleeve angle? Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. I send people to your channel every chance I get.
@DianeDezieltoolfully6 жыл бұрын
Hello CSmith, and thank you Yes when you vary the angle, it's the amount of fabric at your under arm that change.

Hello Saloni, I use a basic sleeve, in one piece, that I fold in the middle to report the length (about 58 cm long from top to wrist) and I place it from the shoulder and armhole point of the bodice. Diane

Thank you so much for this video!!! I have a question, if i want the dolman sleeve but with the bust dart? Thank you!!
@DianeDezieltoolfully6 жыл бұрын
Hello Alessio, From the start, since we start with the woven block, trace your waist darts (i didn't), and at about min.2:56, you could keep the side seam original for both back and front or just find the middle to use for both. If you keep the darts, so the adjustment at the waist, you will need an opening, or center front or center back. Diane
