The long-winged Samurai is one of Mikael’s most successful fly designs of all times. Fish it sideways as fast as possible and the fish cannot resist it. The latest member of the Samurai family has taken many great fish already. The extra contrast from the white tubing against the black wing will help trigger the fish. The teal hackle gives it a classic touch. It’s a general favourite that we’ll fish in any conditions and almost in any size. Maybe we prefer it on that clear river on a cloudy day on the best beat on a classic big fish river.

Arriving home to find the materials in the door and the video recently uploaded! Excellent for the snowy weekend ahead. Great classics collection! Beside maybe not being as effective as modern flies it would be great fun to find one in a monthly pattern

Im a biggener when it comes to these tubeflies, I really like these vids and the frödin cones and tubes, even bought the flywallet, perfect to see all the flies. But I have one question. What hook sizes do you use for all the flies. And how do you rig the hook on the small flies tied on a 1.8mm tubes ?
