Started using a carlsons this year with the lb xr 5 shot. Hoping for better than my tru glos. Going to the range this week.

I recommend a turkey red dot scope and you will be dead nuts every shot. I mounted one on my 870 using a B-Square mount.

I was excited to get my two boxes of the 12 gauge 3 inch long beard but they will not load from the lift in my charles daly without my pushing it up with my finger so it will chamber. It's like it's either a hair to long or a hair to wide to go up into the reciever. It cycles all other 3 inch shells without an issue. Any suggestions?

Huh, that's interesting. I'm not sure what could be causing that. Did you ever get it figured out?

You really need to shoot from a rest, and move the target. Or at least pick one position and stick to it, otherwise there's no consistency. Shooting a single shot, from a different position with each one? Not real useful.

I hear ya! That spot we were shooting was very limited space so that's the only reason I wasn't just moving the target, but you're not wrong at all! Thanks for watching.

Great video bud, I'm shooting longbeard xr #4 same choke & everything out of my Remington 870. It patterns low for me as well, I've noticed with some guns they all pattern different. I shot a Smith & Wesson for years that patterned dead center, my cousin just bought a Benelli nova that patterns with a 6 o'clock hold (shoots a little high). But I haven't had any trouble with my 870 setup, anything 30 yds & under I aim at the turkey's eye & 40 yds & above I aim at the top of his head. Now I'm not sure what is causing your pattern to go sporadic at distance, it could have something to do with your barrel being over bored. I know in the upper line of Remington & Mossberg they over bore their barrels for some reason, mine is just the standard 28 inch Remington 870 barrel never had any issue's at distance like that. I'm not sure man, maybe you got it worked out by now but if not I'm happy to help anyway I can. Have a great day & God Bless.
