Amazing video! But I don't understand how to adjust the pattern when the front armhole depth is higher than the back. Usually the front in higher to make room for the bust, If I lower the front won't it be a defect because of the bust?

I love your explanations. Do you actually make a kimono with this kimono sleeve pattern? Where do you connect the seems since no material has this width? In Japan the tissues generally are even very narrower, aren't they?
@PatternStudio101 Жыл бұрын
Hi, it doesn’t have to be one piece. There are seams for the shapes, but there are seams for just design, patch, for different grainline, etc. You can have a center back line or make lines for sleeve part. If you want to make a kimono sleeve top one piece, you can cut it cross-grain. If it clear?
@eschmidt2990 Жыл бұрын
@@PatternStudio101 thank you very much for talking the time to explain. I still have a loooot to learn. I'd live to make a kimono top one piece. Maybe I need a special pattern to be able to cut it cross-wise. Your idea sounds intreging. Thanks a lot ♡♡♡

I have forward shoulders and my shoulder seam is moved forward 1/4" at the HSP and 1/2" at the LSP. So the back is longer than the front. How would this work in that situation?
@PatternStudio1012 жыл бұрын
Hi Cheryl, there's no problem if the back is longer than the front when you match the underarm point front and back. Adjust shoulder angle to be the same both the front and back. Then, you can extend the shoulder line.
@MsAngelaAmber2 жыл бұрын
Hi😊. Can you please clarify what the front armhole depth is?
@PatternStudio1012 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela, I said armhole depth in this video at 2:10. The straight length from the shoulder point to the line (or level) where the underarm point is. Not the length of along the curve, but the height between two point. I hope it helps. Thanks!

Thank you for your awesome videos. I have a question for you about this one: my front bodice pattern is bigger than the back pattern ( bigger bust i think), when i try to match the side seams the armhole does not match at all, how can i measure that? Or my pattern are wrong altogether?
@PatternStudio101 Жыл бұрын
Front body can be bigger than the back in chest circumference. Match the underarm points. Put on top of each other. Armhole curves also can be different. In the lesson, my example armholes are not the same. Can you explain a little more detail where is not matching?
@hebaelasiouty2413 Жыл бұрын
@@PatternStudio101 when matching the side seams together, the underarm points cannot seem to match ( front pattern goes way up than the back pattern), so i cannot compare the armhole depth on both patterns.
@PatternStudio101 Жыл бұрын
@Heba Elasiouty You mean the front side seam and the back side seam are not the same??? They must be the same. In case you have a side dart on the front, then ignore it and match underarm point.

Hello, you removed the darts in the beginning. Can I keep them if I want? Is there any problem?

Yes, you can! But if the body is too tight, you'll have limitation to move your arm. But you can have dart on Kimono sleeve. Thanks.

Your videos are great, but for those who do not understand how to use the software, can not really follow. If you can make the videos detailed like that of the patch pockets and waist band video, that will be great or a detailed course one can subscribe to. Thank you
