Patti Page at her very best. Beautiful memories from the years when even I was young.

The only bad thing about this song is that it makes me cry every time I here. My brother you used to sing this song to me when I was child. Last time I saw my brother was in either 57 or 58. He was in the Air Force. Got discharged in 59 in Nebraska.

The masterpiece of all time…she was an icon of the golden era in the U.S., ever and after.
Those were the days when music made you feel the love...I wish they were back again. I feel badly that the kids today don’t know and feel this music. It was romantic even though at the time we were so young.

@Ladelina Lany Songs are the best agents of the past. If you ever became fond of a particular song in the past, danced to it with your lover, or lulled to sleep by your mother sweetly singing it, that song will weave a pleasant memory that you will forever cherish. (Of course, there is a flip side to this.) Even after so many years, when all those things become hazy in your memory, the mere sound of that song will relive those moments - - taking you back to that distant past.

This was my Grandmother favorite song, we would. Go to the Elks in Danville IL and I would go up and ask the band leader to play it for her. It also became one of my favorite.
