Patton fighting back some serious emotion... the death that man seen. Only God in heaven knows now. May you rest in peace General... though we could use you more than ever now. Long live the United States of America 🇺🇸.

He also wrote in his journal. That between Eisenhower and fighting Germans, Eisenhower annoyed him the most. Patton is a true and briliant man. Love Patton, It make take another few centuries before the world sees another man like him, Perhaps he will be back someday(reincarnated)

Eisenhower was too into politics at that time, paying lip service to the Brits, and Montgomery, who in reality was a mediocre general. Patton was the best we had, head and shoulders above Monty, and he was poorly served by Eisenhower.

My grandfather served under Patton in the 94th infantry, 3rd Army during the Ardennes Offensive (battle of the bulge). He won a bronze star. He told me about Patton. He loved Patton. He says that under his leadership we ALWAYS thought we would win every battle. He was a true inspirational leader. The guys just rallied behind him! 🇺🇸

typical of him and true to what i've read about him. on the outside he was hard but, on the inside he had a soft side. you could see him choking back tears while giving that speech.

Yes, Patton was a flawed person, but he was also one of the greatest Warriors of all time. I deeply respect him and his accomplishments. And you have the quote WRONG! The last part should read "This war, as I said, is only HALF WON." Your sloppiness with this quote is an embarrassment.

I've seen this speech, its very moving and telling in regards to our present struggles..I'm sorry you cut off the inventive at the beginning..It really set the tone for the speech and clearly shows how strongly Patton felt about the war..
