The small, blue-rounded-blade, version of one of these is a life goal. I don’t collect anymore, and not sure where I would need one. But I want one. I’m 36, and in all my years never found one in decent shape worth the price.

I'm not 100% certain but I think the stamped blade was introduced after the Rival company bought Patton and moved production to Sweet Springs, MO. It's good to see this fan looking and functioning like a proper New Haven unit

Glad to see it run well again! That looks great and certainly much safer. I’m also surprised that there wasn’t a recall, seeing how many people experienced major blade failures on these stamped-blade variants.

Nice to see it running properly. I had a similar experience with the blue Patton fans where they were everywhere during my childhood before slowing disappearing as time went on. The most prominent ones I remember are the ones at a local convenience store and in my first grade classroom. I only saw the stamped blades once in my freshman year but had no idea of them breaking until coming across the Amazon page.

It’d be great to see that custom box/window fan build. I’ve always wondered how newer McMillan motors compare to older ones

Glad to see you got it going again! I noticed the fan seemed to be running a little slower with the proper blade; the proper blade has a different sound than the stamped junk blade.

Finally you got the Patton back again and you Cần finally use it in the living room perfect fan for that room yes Royal Blue is my favorite lol I can’t wait to see you make a box fan out of the Dayton blade set I had no idea you can still buy McMillan motors even though their been bought out by Rador motor company super excited to see that project make a whole house window exhaust fan bro and see if you can get a reversible McMillan motor 3 speed for in and out air flow I enjoyed the video

Excellent video. Mine fell out of a Window last night and the blade finally bit the cage and completely destroyed the balance of the blade. There is no restoring it at this point and the fan has served me well since the early 90's so I don't want to give it up. Can you hook me up with the resource for that fan blade? Thank you

Hi! My neighbor gave me her fan to fix. It turns out the swagged hub spins freely to the blades so the motor and blade hub hub spin as expected but the blades just make a loud racket but do not spin. How do I couple the blades to the steel blade hub? Weld, tap and screw? Where can I buy a replacement blade. THANKS!

That electric motor looks exactly like my broad-ocean attic fan motor! What a coincidence

This is a McMillan motor.

@@JordanUWhile I do understand that the motor in the video is a McMillan 3-speed, it's still fascinating to know that the motors share the exact same design on the outside.

I'm looking for the same blade for my fan, the orginal blade is pure junk with the collar spinning on the stamped blade.
