Fun fact: the threats against Sam Blackwell's daughter didn't come from the Enclave but from Hornwright Industrial, one of the Mining Companies of Appalachia. He just thought it was the enclave you was threatening his daughter and thats why he tried to expose them

@@originalname8770, I’m pretty sure it was the government itself, the enclave is just a shadowy part of the government, they did take over a few vaults though, I think one of them was vault 87, the one in the capital wasteland that made the super mutants there

1:59 You are wrong. The vaults being an experiment was not up for debate literally in all games its hinted, said directly and even the president of the enclave just flat out tells you. It is canon and always been

He never said that the vaults being experiments was up for debate. He was saying that the grand reason for all of the experiments happening in the first place. Why did Vault-Tech conduct these mass experiments? Outside of the interview with Tim Cain, we really don't know the true reason on what vault-tech was truly going to accomplish with these mass experiments. The whole "colonizing another planet" is what's unverifiable as nowhere in the games or other canon material does it explicitly say that Vault-Tech was using the vaults for that end goal. Maybe we will get confirmation of that in a future game. Basically: He didn't say that the experiments themselves happening is unverifiable, that's a certain fact we know for sure. Instead, he was saying that the grand motive behind all 122 vault experiments even happening in the first place remains unverified and up for debate to this day

Wow first time ive seen a KZbinr get the 3rd games enclaves story right. Every video I ever see they just say they're genocidal maniacs and it's like no only the zax computer was. There is one other interesting fact in the 3rd game to look at as well. The fact that both the enclave and the brotherhood of steel had weapons of mass destruction but only the brotherhood used theirs on people while the enclave used theirs only against Liberty prime. The enclave technically could have wiped out the entire pentagon and got rid of the brotherhood at any time they wanted but they didn't. Just something to think about.

I know after fallout 4 alot of there bases are destroyed but i feel like those that survived the destruction of the oil rig or raven rock traveled to the midwest like Colorado because i know in real life theres a bunker called the Cheyenne Mountain complex that serves as a backup command center for the U.S Government

From what ive found, there isnt anything in the lore suggesting that the X01 and APA are different, and that its just a common rumour

Yeah, from what you can find it’s implied that XO1 is a late-stage prototype with its blueprints being improved upon by the Enclave proper resulting in the creation of the APA

Like okay X-O1 being the pre-war experimental model that the Enclave would later refine, same with the hellfire as hellfire prototypes do exist(as shown by 76). But it doesn’t make sense for black devil, and like you said Bethesda really likes to mess with their own lore and you kinda have to head canon & weave stuff together to make stuff cohesive

In my conclusion enclave doesn't really deserves the attention, since there's nothing interesting in their motives... Just kill everyone and build new world for themselves, so later it happens again. I don't really understand the serious analysis of their actions, because that's just foolishness all over. Also against whom they're preparing to fight? They're the only organized group... I think the whole destroy humanity thing was made, so our protagonist would feel important and the game would felt as high stakes. NV did much better job on faction goals, which felt rational and real.
