I keep going back to watching this and today, I started reading the comments. I didn't realize they were a father daughter team. Oh gosh, as a dad, I can't help but think of how proud of her I would be. Such talent!! She wasn't struggling at all!! It was clear that she WAS HAVING A GOOD TIME!. To me, that's the ultimate, to enjoy your talent. As this video was years ago, I hope this synergy continues.

Excellent. This is how you do a drumsolo. The song doesn't stop, the rhythm keeps going and when the band comes back in it's natural. Many drummers just stop the song and start banging as many drums as they can to show how good they think they are.

quel bonheur de jouer en famille ! merci à vous. Je suis triste après le baptême de mes deux petits fils jumeaux. C'était ce week-end, il faisait très beau. Il y avait 7 musiciens de la famille présents et, malheureusement, nous n'avons entendu aucune note de musique. Mon ex-épouse, elle même flutiste, en avait décidé ainsi pour ne pas jouer en compagnie de ma nouvelle compagne (flutiste aussi). Mon fils est percu pro, sa femme prof de sax, ma fille flutiste, mon autre fils guitare et moi saxo ténor. On aurait pu jouer avec mes enfants mais ils ne voulaient pas peiner leur mère..... La vie est ainsi faite. C'est une occasion qui n'est pas prête de se reproduire. L'être humain est parfois bizarre. merci à vous.

This is how drums used to be played by people who knew how drums should be played, this lass is using the traditional grip, one that was discarded by the so called drum teachers of today, none of them are fit to clean her bass pedal, this is drumming in the tradition of Krupa, Webb, Rich, Tough, Cole, and dozens more I could name, real drumming, thank you both for a delightful rendering.

What a fantastically clean drum solo. What struck me instantly was that she never lost the original beat with her hi-hat. Watch her left foot, the original count is always there and it comes naturally to her. "Back in the day" when I took the solo I always felt like I was playing the music and words with the drums. I never used the cymbals much. Most drummers go all over the place with a solo forgetting the beat and song all together. Dads no slouch on the piano either. Great job, very enjoyable.

@@georgeplungis5283 Hi George! The 'Trap' is a drum kit. It's an old school term from 1940's that originated from the small Jazz and Blues venues. The stages were small and the percussionist seemed to be 'Trapped' behind the kit. Hence the term 'Traps'.
