For anyone wondering about the music, it's called BaWang BieJi (霸王别姬), it was translated (badly, in my opinion) to "Farewell my Concubine". It's bad because it doesn't carry the same sort of, I guess "historical significance" as the transliteration, which is "The Hegemon Bids Farewell to his Concubine". This is much better (again, in my opinion), because it brings the focus to "The Hegemon (霸王)", because when this title is mentioned, the Chinese tend to only think of one man, Xiang Yu (项羽), arguably the greatest warlord of Ancient China. This man controlled an army of nearly 600 thousand strong at the height of his power, that's about one tenth to one twelfth of the entire population of China at the time. This song was about his ultimate defeat, and at the time where the story of this song takes place, he has less than a few hundred soldiers, and that number was diminishing by the minute. For those of you interested in the history, I encourage you to read up on it, I know I sound like I'm a commercial, but the Chinese History is an incredible story that I think everyone should check out.

Thank you for this awesome video! I just started Wudang kung fu about a year ago and it's very difficult to find videos of Wudang forms done by women - which is maddening. No logical reason for it. Clearly she is tearing through this form, I've never seen someone make it look so easy (hint, it's not, not at all!)

@@StimParavane But in all seriousness, I'm a long-time female martial artist and different body types perform techniques differently. Not just male or female but large and small, flexible and muscle-bound, short arms vs long arms, etc. If you only watch one body type perform a form you are not actually seeing the full repertoire of technique. I usually try to find videos of at least 3 different masters of a given form, for that reason.

Executa o kung fu como uma verdadeira chinesa, embora não seja. Isso demonstra que a capoeiragem é de quem pratica. Parabéns, você é tremendamente dedicada.

Very, very nice. Thanks for sharing. Would have been even better without the slowmo on the high-kicks - especially since they are less impressive than some of the other aspects of this demonstration ;)

Es precioso, ademas se ve solo una persona igual a otras ejecutando, como si no se viera la historia, lo digo como algo positivo, porque cuando nos apropiamos de una historia o un poder estamos mancos.

Found the performance smooth. You should consider going to either the northern or southern Shaolin schools. If you consider I warn you. There are fake Masters and Grandmasters that say they have trained, but no nothing really. Lot of real Masters/Grandmasters will lie and teach you the wrong forms to watch you get beat up (they do this to mostly Americans, some Indians and Muslims). My Great Uncle found his Sifu in California in the 1970's when the masters and grandmasters were fleeing from china, while the majority of both have been killed by fatass Mao and his red army. They were seen as a threat, that's why Wushu was mediatized and popularized that it's further harmed the real Gong Fu(its proper pronunciation). Soccer moms that come from war torn families and con artists that need money have watered down most martial arts today really. People are too into religions, the now, techs, fashions, the media. Taoism states that no gods exist, only the 2 essiential needs of the universe: Good and Evil. You can be peaceful, you can be violent. You can be benevolent, and you also can be vengeful. Do good onto other who do good to you, ignore/walk away others who speak ill, and kill(these days, maim the best you can) anyone who grabs you. Taoism teaches you there is no need for more than the other, its always in flux. The Tao constantly rebalances these forces. They have no connection with their chi or themselves, and are just sad to look at each year that goes. Anyway, I found my Sifu here in Colorado that's been trained by an immigrant grandmaster from Florida, though his is southern, different but just as effective. Southern(nan) Dragon(zun) Boxing(quan), Duan Quan, Fujian White Monkey Box, Fujian White Crane Box, 7 Star Mantis, Crushing Foot, Black Tiger, Intercepting Boxing. I've chosen Nan Dao (Southern Saber) & Cudgel(staff) after my 2 year basic training, I'm at my 6th year, I've been taught Fire stove staff, Great sage staff, Fujian white monkey staff, Southern Staff ,and wild wind demon staff. These have little Spinning and jumping, just solid footwork and twisting movements. Your taught to hold, swing, slam, block, parry, disarm, and counter more intelligently in this way. It's hazardous to anyone at the end of the fucking cudgel being held by someone familiar with the arts. God I sound old, lemme shut up and get to the point: So before you do(and also to everyone reading this), walk to a school and when you get cleared through, ask the master or Grandmaster if they know the 5 element forms of fighting and defense. The answer is Water, Earth, Wood, Metal, and Fire. If they cant answer, leave to anouther school. The world is getting lazier, whinier, fatter, sadder, angrier and just plain pathetic. You need to inherent or master(you could even be grandmaster based on your flexibility, and certain solid footwork to leverage power) the original arts before they disappear forever. We are the ones who are trying to uplift these war arts and make them popular and respected again. Save Gong Fu!
