RVing to Alaska

Күн бұрын

Today we start the Cassiar Highway, BC Highway 37, in Northern British Columbia Canada which will link us to the Alaska Highway just outside of Watson Lake, Yukon. Starting from Burns Lake we document the days drive to Meziadin Lake Provincial Park, our first stop on the Cassiar Highway where we plan to visit our first glaciers and bear viewing in the area.

I love your video work. I appreciate the editing and the educational & smooth narration style. Thanks for all your work, and for showing this area of BC. As a BC resident, I also appreciate how you reference both Miles and KMs in your narrative. A nice blend. Aside about Metric: I was born in late 1960s, and Canada switched to Metric system when I was in Grade 3. 50 years later, and my everyday thinking is a mish-mash of metric and imperial measurements. I think metric for distance, liquid volume, and temperature. But I think imperial for weight and height. I think a lot of Canadians of my generation are a similar mish-mash.

Welcome to my neck of the woods! And I do mean 'woods'! We own cabins and property on the Cassiar Highway. Our property borders the Yukon border, so we are way up there. Hyder, Stewart, Dease Lake, Watson Lake....all unique and beautiful. My hubby was RCMP in Smithers and Dease Lake. Watch out for bears!

Yes we love the Cassiar. We drove out to Telegraph Creek and saw many bears that day as well as everyday on the Cassiar. You live in a special place!

Loved the ending! I don't want any help parking, I have two mirrors and a camera plus I get out and look at least a couple of times if it is a tight parking spot. Relieves a lot of stress doing it on your own.

Can so relate to your motions helping the hubby back in. Just tells me we better not get a backup camera.😂 also, we had a lakefront campsite there last year and took our kayak out on the lake. Sooooo beautiful!

Y'all need to get some walkie-talkies so you can talk to him when you're trying to tell him how to backup instead of stay out there making all kind of gestures with your hands you can talk and tell him where to go... LOL 😋 😂 😁👍 👍🤗 🤗🙏 🙏♥️♥️
