I’m so glad Paul Allen is getting recognized for being such a great announcer 😂😂

Paul Allen is the #1 Vikings fan in the world and is arguably the greatest NFL radio announcer in the country. He's also a stand-up person of faith and genuinely cares about people. I want the Vikings to win a Superbowl more for him than for me.

Well said, agreed on all. He's getting his due after the Buffalo game went national. Met him several times at the MN state fair. Good dude of the highest order

You want the Vikings to finally win a SB for an announcer who didn't start working for them until he moved there in the late 90's? P.S. The Vikings were founded 60 years ago...might wanna save some of that sympathy for the long term fans instead...

I'm a Broncos fan, but Paul Allen is arguably the GOAT of the local announcers.

There are so many good ones. I have long been an advocate of us being able to listen to THEM over the TV guys.

You don't prefer Dave Logan?

@@aznpikachu215 I love Logan, but he’s not as emotional as Allen. He never screams lol

@@GrassValleyGreg I think he has.

As a Green Bay fan who's taken great delight at some of the Viking's worst meltdowns.... Paul Allen's playcalls of those moments are golden. GOLDEN. I can't imagine a much better play call when Favre threw that Int against New Orleans. That game against Arizona. There's so many... they're gold. I love Paul Allen for the homer he is and the accurate agony he portrays.

“this isn’t Detroit, this is the super bowl,” I can’t help but get an ear to ear smile whenever I hear that

No doubt Love PA! Growing up in northern Minnesota back in the 80’s with only three TV channels, we would tune in to the local radio station just to listen to Jesse “The Body” Ventura, and some of his one liners would have us in tears! Loved him as the governor and even funnier in the Viking radio booth.

The most dynamic deep voice in any sport in the entire world 😅😅

The last championship that ANY of MN's big 4 teams was 30 years ago. Our sports fans are as cynical as they come. I don't want my announcer to try and sugarcoat it when the team clearly is just not playing well. PA is echoing the feeling of the fanbase whether it's positive or negative, and that is really refreshing.

Paul Allen needs a wellness check, being the voice of the Vikings must not be easy

That's our guy. Amazon needs to have that option where we can listen to our guy.

They decided to try out Paul after longtime Viking play by play guy Dan Rowes contract wasn't renewed, they had a guy for one season ('01) to call games before Allen took over full time in '02. He kind of reminds me of the longtime Steelers radio guy Myron Cope in terms of style.

Just FYI Paul Allen took over for Jesse Ventura
@RandyPeterson174 жыл бұрын
He wasn’t mad at CJ Ham so much as he was mad at the situation. Blowing that out of proportion so they have something to talk about. 🙄🙄

I live in Minnesota and I cannot stand Paul Allen's radio show but he is a very good football game announcer
@danielhuculak18773 жыл бұрын
So do I. And I can't stand his show either, but I really love hearing his whining when the Vikings lose. His calls after the Favre INT against the Saints, the '03 loss to the Cardinals, and the missed FG against the Seahawks five years ago were epic.

That's the great thing about radio dials, you can always just turn them... Funny though, you still couldn't stop yourself from posting a critique of a radio show that you don't even listen to... Wonder why?

Hotshot child on the left. Just because the "legends" told you something does not mean it has to stay that way. If we used your mode of thinking. Or lack therof. We would still be riding around in horse drawn buggies and paying people to shovel horse manure off the streets and silent film would still be the dominant standard on the movie industry.

Seriously, he sucks. Next time count the errors ("check that") in his play calling. Its extremely frustrating and I have given up listening to KFAN on game day.
