The saddest thing about unlocking Paul is that you can't do it before beating the game, because they lock out the final collectable Paul. Which means if someone wanted to experience the final boss for the first time as the best character, they can't.

He showed it in the vid. It's a perk you unlock after beating the game, where you can toggle if you want Anton/Annie to follow you around. It's purely cosmetic, though, as you can't switch between them in the levels.
