Thanks for this video. I had heard the song but in 1970, I rented the duplex next door from Jill’s mother Mrs Jackson. She was a delightful lady. Today, I drove by and took a photo of her house and the duplex.

There’s no way I could meet anyone named Paula & not think of this song’s opening line (hi Paula S if you’re reading this 😘). I’ve enjoyed this classic since its inception, & love it even more today. Watching this interview & especially their live performance at the end went straight to my heartstrings. Thanks for sharing . God bless Jill & Ray❤️

I slow danced with Paul ( Ray ) at an oldiest concert . Hecwas down front of stage beside me. Jimmy Clanton was on stage. Ray asked me if zi wanted to dance. Of course I did. Then he went on srage to perform with Paula. Ga e me a little wave from stage when they sang. My husband was thrilled I had the exlerience.
