I was 12 years old when this song came out and had my first girlfriend. We both loved the song and she would often sing it to me. My name being Paul made it somewhat convenient for her, but she would always replace Paula with her name. We were both very innocent as the times dictated we should be. It’s a shame decency and morals and beautiful love songs in this present day do not promote the decency and morality of my youth.

Great innocent song. How nice Paula looks without a nose ring, pierced tongue, not outlandish makeup. Paul not having tattoos on his neck, hands, nice shave. Let's not look at the nice clothes. Yeah they don't have a lapel mikes but the lip synch is perfect. His high water pants reminds me of the Beach Boys at the time. They look so calm and collected and seem to be having fun. Can't complain about being antique when I got to have all of this as a teen.

Joey Wheeler I don't think she flipped him off. I think she didn't like the bear and was giving Paul a look. I rewound it several times and did a few screen shots so could zoom in, I'll try and upload them. They both had the same look afterword, as if they were hoping nobody noticed.

Urnvr 2L8 no, it looks more like Jill is giving him a sign to cut it off. Probably because the producers or the host didn’t appreciate it. You can see how they look to the side, as if someone is standing there telling them something. Probably someone from the production telling them to not do it anymore.

I think moving the stuffed animal released some fur or dust which irritated Jill's nose so they hesitantly decided not to move the arms any more, and just looked at each other and the director for confirmation. Besides JIll's side of the animal couldn't move properly which would have added to the concern of the youngsters.
