I watched this movie 5 times in IMAX. Best movie i've seen in years. A true masterpiece. I'm a big fan of the dune novels and of Denis Villeneuve. It breaks my heart to know that so many people dislike it. I keep reading negative reviews. There's nothing wrong with this movie whatsoever. It's close to perfection. But I admit it's probably too sophisticated for mainstream audiences who usually watch popcorn movies.

People disliked it because it ended. And they know it will end in the second movie. In situations like that the criticism is always huge. The criticism itself doesn’t come from the acting or the story. Comes from the loss of potential, but they can’t write they are obsessed by the money. It has been a while that mainstream critics don’t hold the sway they did. But as a fan I can’t say I wasn’t a little bit disappointed myself. I would have loved even the possibility of a trilogy, ending paul’s crusade. Perhaps even all the way through his and his sister’s death in a third movie. It would have been awesome

I watched dune on Friday and I loved it so much! My brother and dad read the books and wanted to watch it and I tagged along. I don’t regret it! I love it so much

I was in a movie in the cinema, before the premiere I was skeptical, but it turned out to be a masterpiece! I love how Thimothée played his part (he was amazing!) This movie literally got me on my knees, after the screening I went to the library to borrow Dune books

Ever since I knew Timothee is going to do a fim on Dune, I started reading it. Though I didn't understand at first, on second reading this become one of my favourite books. Loved the movie adaptation. It doesn't rush things as movie adaptations always do. Eagerly Waiting for the 2nd part. " I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain." This became One of my fav quotes from book. I gave a seminar paper on intersection of religion and politics in Dune on this very day last week and I overcame my fear of public speaking. A memorable day in my life.

Excellent! You really took the Litany Against Fear to heart, and it seems you really understood the themes of Dune well. Many viewers don't understand them yet, but hopefully they will after Part 2!

@@oouzgee Yes Terms are hard but they are repeated often so even if you have to look up meanings repeatedly at first after sometimes you will memorize them.

My heart stops every time he pushes the controls of the Ornithopter forward & allows them to free fall. The chills I got when watching it at the IMAX happen when I watch your edit too so that is testament to both the film & your editing.
